Default The demise of Nottingham Forest

I'm actually hoping this thread will have the same affect as the other "demise" threads and lead to a significant upturn in fortunes, it won't happen though.

Bring back Halford, stick him up front, it'll be raining goals...hallelujah.

This should have been started 15 years ago !

It's still nowhere near as bad as being in League 1. There are still solutions and options to prevent that from happening again.

League 1 is where we're heading if things don't change soon. I hope the rumours of Pearce putting together a consortium to buy the club are true.

Don't worry, Friday will be just the shot in the arm we need.

Historically, we have tended to spend large periods in the top flight, followed by large periods in the second division (with the occasional dabble in the third tier thrown in to keep it interesting)and then back to the top flight.

Therefore, regardless of where we end up next season, we'll be back in the Prem within the next 4/5 years.

Again, I put to you that dreadful run under Pearce last year, and we were STILL after all of that in with a shout for the play-offs nearing the end of last season.

The site is getting a bit fractious again with the bad results. Show The Love (sorry you have to click the link)

The league is very average this season.

All we needed to do was win a few, draw a few, lose a few and then go on a bit of a run when some of the injured return in the new year.

We can't even manage that now.

We are now on our second worst points total after 15 games since returning to the Championship. Only Caldewood got less. Hopefully the only way is up.

I'm just angling for the return of Britt, but I know we shouldn't put all our eggs in one basket.

    New manager boost needed then

It's called "progress" apparently. Fighting relegation from 12th in Feb, is FAR more dangerous than fighting it from 19th in November.

    True story.

We should just keep hiring managers and sacking them after one defeat and just live off the new manager bounce

Or let them have a bad run and see if they can come out of it.

Is that a new rumour? Or from when I spoke to him in the summer?

But we have read on here many, many times that he did a good job at Bolton and Bolton fans love him as he did magical things there......
