Default Nffc Johnny Foreigner xi Vs Nffc home nations xi. Who plays? Who wins? You decide!

Well it's the international break, and the transfer window is closed, the air of pessimism has thinned so we need something to argue about / debate. So who would make it into your Johnny foreigners xi, who woulds start for the home nations team? Which one would win?
Nb players must only be picked for their Nffc form so Andy Cole would be a disaster not a champions league winner

    Van Breukelen

    Lichaj
    Haaland
    Aas
    Brennan

    Orlygsson
    Metgod
    Bohinen
    Guedioura

    Van Hoojdonk
    Roy

Edit - if Eire counts as foreign I'll have Keane instead of Guedioura.

    Johnny Foreigners: 4-5-1

    Van Breukelen

    Bonalair
    Hjelde
    Burns
    Haaland

    O'Neill
    Keane
    McGovern
    Metgod
    Robertson

    Van Hooijdonk

    English: 4-4-2

    Shilton

    Anderson
    Walker
    Cooper
    Pearce

    Stone
    Bowyer
    Hodge
    Woan

    N. Clough
    Collymore

There would be goals in it and no prisoners taken, I reckon 1-2 to the English XI, van Hooijdonk and Collymore (2).

    Roy Keane sent off.

My punts in virtual land would go this way:

British XI - Shilton; Anderson, Walker, McKinlay, Pearce; Storey-Moore, McGovern, A.Gemmill, Robertson; Francis, Woodcock
Foreign XI - Van Breukelen; Haaland, Metgod, Aas, Bonalair; Thijssen, Keane, Bohinen, Osvold; Van Hooijdonk, Roy

4-1 or 4-2 to the British!

    But with English vs non-English....

English XI - Shilton; Anderson, Todd, Walker, Pearce; Francis, Webb, Hodge, Storey-Moore; Collymore, Woodcock.
Foreign XI - Van Breukelen; McInally, Burns, McKinlay, Frankie Gray; McGovern; O'Neill, Bohinen, A.Gemmill, Robertson; Van Hooijdonk.

2-1 or 3-2 to the English, unless Joe Baker gets clearance to appear for the non-English and take it to extra-time.

I'm quite surprised none of the "Home nations XI's" have found a place for Terry Hennessey.

Yeah, based on play at Forest maybe I should've thought about putting him instead of Thijssen. I don't remember much about Thijssen at Forest anyway, but I know he was great for Ipswich but not so much us (Ravi who is a bit older put in Orlygson as right winger too - but it could be Toddi slipped my mind and Thijssen slipped his when we posted - I think Toddi Orlygsson who himself never really shined very much at Forest, was probably a better CM than winger anyway).

All in all, Olsen seems a decent choice as right winger I think for non-British XI.

Andy Reid should probably be left winger instead of Osvold too, even if he was always a bit better coming infield rather than hugging the touchline. Osvold seemed a quirky choice and proper left winger, but Reid somehow slipped my mind even though I'd put Keane in that team.

I thought Roy was a better player (certainly better in PL) than Van Hooijdonk but if I'm going with a solo striker for non-English XI I think he's less suited to it even if he had more pace. Robbo would enjoy crossing a few onto Pierre's head I would think too.

Before my time, but trying to get to know players like that (I included ISM and McKinlay myself) but interested to know if that means you valued him higher than McKinlay and Burns say? Or could he be put at right back or DM (wing-half?) even?

I guess Guedioura and Majewski both showed potential to crack that XI at least (the non-British one) but probably ended up short of convincing me/others to switch from 4-4-2 to diamond to accommodate them (with Keane and Bohinen on the sides of it)?

I did forget about Thijssen. He was a classy player but didn't play many games for the Reds iirc. He always seemed like a world beater whenever I saw him play for Ipswich, but couldn't match that form when he came here for whatever reason. I would have him in my team, but I seem to have plenty of central midfielders and few wide players. Reid is probably unlucky to miss out too.

Well by that logic, can we include Westley Morgan, as a Jamaican international?
