Default Forest representative at UEFA 60 years of European Cup/Champion League winners

I don't know if this has been mentioned, yesterday uefa invited all club that's have won European Cup or champions league to a celebrations ceremony. All the other clubs sent a player that played in the final for their respective club.

So Forest instead of sending Kenny Burns, John Robertson Larry Lloyd or even winning captain a John McGovern. Guess who we send?....... Fawaz mate Hassan Saif I'm sorry what right does he have? Even though he spends a lot of time at the club.

So why does he get the opportunity to receive a silver plaque from Uefa? Stan Bowles or a fan that went to the final has more right than one of Fawaz cronies. Just annoys me we get little things so wrong.

More fuel to Fawaz's huge ego trip. Never settled with him as the owner, probably never will.

I wonder if it will end up on a wall at Fawaz's or at The City Ground.

The Liverpool representative was a woman. So unless an older player has gone all Frank Maloney, we were not the only club who did not.

In fact if you look more closely, there are a number of others that did not.

Anyone of these great players could of received instead of old Hassan Saif. Someone who isn't allowed to work for the club due to visa restrictions because he's part of a non EU country but is always at the club.

She might be a employee, but Hassan isn't a employee.

I was being pedantic as you said "All" the other clubs sent ex players.

I agree with you on this to be honest - it'd be better for a former player to go.

The only thing is though that with your group you're in a position where you really need to get on ok with the man, so if you feel you don't like or respect him that could filter through to him and any good suggestions you have (like using the Pitch more) might not get implemented. Cos it seemed like you'd moved a bit away from protest group towards advisory role (on good terms).

Hope you know what I mean, and I know it's none of my business but just thought I might as well say what I feel on the matter. Cheers.

I know mate, just making sure the thread was kept relevant rather than going off on tangent about transsexuals.

Just another stick to beat the owner with, without knowing the reasons behind it.

Unless we all start getting our hands in our pockets a hell of a lot more when fazza does get bored, we are fucked.

Be careful what you wish for.

It's not a post to fuel the wish for his exit because I respect him as much as the next man for what he has done. But his decisions at times baffles me.

That's a shambles. It's the only thing we ever go on about as a fan base and he's gone and sent a mate instead of someone more worthy, like Shilton. Depressing.

Martin O'Neill is a bit busy this weekend. He's prepping his Ireland team to beat England!

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

But we dont know why that decision was made do we? Could be that he sent this bloke who ever he is as a jolly up for his mate.....=bad......... Could be that for whatever reason someone couldn't make it last minute and his mate dropped in= not so bad.....

Im sure JM went on something last year for us to do with UEFA as there were photos on here...

Its ok saying you dont want it to drop into a convo about different subjects but its also very easy for this subject to turn into a "pitchforks at the ready" stance......

One owner asset stripped us meaning us playing 3rd division football to survive, another who was a fan was hounded out leaving us in the shit.... We arent in a position as a buyable asset to change owner again, far from it.

McGovern should have gone. He's still employed by the club as an ambassador isn't he?
