Where is the fun of that? Surely the grittiness of potentially getting stabbed every time you leave your house can’t be recreated if you buy a big house in North Yorkshire.

No money in international haulage even taking into account living in a country with cheaper living costs.

Some will benefit some won't. How helpful, 10 out of 10 for stating the obvious.

Point is, they lived here. It was home. Contributed same as I do. For longer than I have in terms of consecutive years.

It’s nkt just alignment it is tariffs. Could really push costs up. It did make me laugh how he said businesses have known since 2016 but then clarified that they didn’t know exactly what terms. They still don’t!! So not easy to prepare.

Interesting what he said about investing in less affluent areas to try and realign the economy. Believe it when I see it but fingers crossed.

The point is why would you put up with the rat race, Brexit or no Brexit when you can work remotely and not have to?

I'd be working remotely from my castle i brought for peanuts up north somewhere or a beachside bar in Spain/Greece.

Your work collegue made the right decision no matter what the vote result was, as always you look after yourself.

It's a stereotypical view of London you have. The majority of people don't live here for financial reasons. There aren't eight million bankers and lawyers.

EU Nationals live in London because it's home. Just like all around the world people are at home in place they didn't grow up in. And they are in communities, they are in relationships, they have kids, all sorts of ties that make that their place their home that aren't financially related.

If you really wanted to be working from a beachside bar in Spain or Greece, why aren't you?

People chase the pound note to the big lights of the big city.. that ain't a stereotypical view, that's what draws them in.

That is a stereo typical view. The are a number of reasons to move to London, like anywhere else.

It had nothing to do with my reasons for moving here, and continuing to live here. If I made those choices on what best suited me financially I would never have lived in London.

There are people living in London because their priority is making money. But the stereotypical view of people living in London who didn't grow up here is of bankers, who are obviously a small minority. And in reality, many bankers live outside of London and commute in anyway..
