Aye what a clown his parents were to a) go on the radio to confess what a dick they are b) not pull him up on it even if remotely true.

Best thing was she said "both his sets of grandparents are brexiters" what kind of clown would be a brexiter and live in France.

Maybe you can borrow Bryn's foam hand, then line 'em up and walk along the parade the shame for slappin' session.

Personally I think she’s out of order, but unwise even on a comedy show. But you’re talking shit as usual, why would her saying this mean Alf Garnett type comments are acceptable? Of course you can say things that are offensive to some people, don’t be dramatic.

Let them be children and protect them from this garbage, plenty of time for that later on.
Agree with this, shame we can’t apply it to religion to though eh? No Sunday school, it’s brainwashing.

Strange that anyone who has an opinion you disagree with is somehow "talking shit". Maybe you should look at both sides of an argument for a change?

The BBC refuses to re-run many old programmes because they feel they are "offensive" now, yet they defend Jo Brand. I personally couldn't care what people say in jokes, but if the Beeb is going to set limits, then they have to be applied equally.

Farage himself has absolutely no footing from which to attack Brand - given that he has previously said both:-

"But if they don't deliver this Brexit that I spent 25 years of my life working for, then I will be forced to don khaki, pick up a rifle and head for the front lines."
    and
"if people feel that voting doesn't change anything then violence is the next step"

You can't advocate violence and then moan about others advocating it.

Nah, it’s not all opinions I disagree with that I think are talking shit. Just the shit ones. Which includes the above ‘let’s have reruns of some racist jokes, that’ll make it fair’.

Any comment on Farage’s ‘donning khaki’ comments?

I think Brand's message has been missed in all this!
I think she was making a point about how bad it could have been and that people should look at themselves before doing stuff.
The guy throwing the milk shake wasn't stopped.
He could well have been throwing battery acid and still wouldn't have been stopped.
    Well, that's my shit opinion!

First of all Farage's "khaki" remark was political hyperbole, of the types that many politicians make.

Secondly he is quite correct in that if the people feel that voting doesn't change anything then violence is often the next step, be it from the Left or Right. We have seen that many times before.

Thirdly the issue is about BBC standards, which currently generally reflect the opinions of those working for the BBC rather than the general populace.

And Brand's remark was 'comedy' of the type that many comedians make.

I don't see why battery acid would be deemed more offensive or dangerous than a rifle.

Didn't they sack Danny Baker the other month for a joke about the Royal baby?

They did. So, in fairness, the Brexit Party should sack Farage. Oh. Wait...

Yes it was in a comedy context, but others have been arrested and fired for their jokes. The BBC does not keep a level playing field.

Having had some experience with rifles, I can confirm that indeed, a rifle can be rather more deadly than throwing a bit of acid about.

And if there were ever a candidate to stand in front of the business-end of a rifle, then Nigel Farage would be ideal.

Of course, you would nowadays only really wear khaki when deployed to a desert-climate, so perhaps Farage is considering joining up and seeking deployment to the Middle East; at least that would get him out of the EU, which seems to be his objective?

Of course, if he were really serious, he’d have gone for a flamethrower. Nothing beats a flamethrower as a close-in weapon, despite its bulk.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

    Yet again, more biased rubbish.

Have you never seen Alan Titchmarsh‘s programs on the BBC?

Who's throwing acid about? I'll have some of that man, put my name down.

They do, but then there are plenty of Frexiteers to be friends with. Leaving the EU is not the same as abandoning Europe. It is the political structure of the EU that many hate, not foreigners.
