I think that is one of the most readable and balanced article I have read.

They miss the shades of grey.
I recommend your article without reservation.

Well played and quite balanced. Nice work.

Anyone who glosses over that Norwich goal, and doesn`t mention the glory of some of Antonios other goals, in a season review can`t have attended

I`ve not known the highs of this season for a long long time it`s just a shame the lows balanced them out. I`ll always remember them though and look back of them misty eyed for years to come.

That's a valid point, perhaps should have cited some of Antonios goals, but was going for more of a 'feeling' vibe than recounting events, if that makes sense.

Yeh got that feel mate but wow when was the last time you saw the CG erupt like that for the Norwich winner?

Or the feeling you got seeing the flags and banners vs Derby in the LB during MOK?

spine tingling stuff I fear we won`t see the like of again for a very long time

I think your perception of what Stuart Pearce was going to bring to the role as manager will resonate with a lot of people. Certainly did with me, I still find it incomprehensible that his team displayed none of his qualities on the pitch.

Great piece that, a very well worded version of the season that I saw too.

Great stuff. Sums up how I felt at the end of the season. I will always love and support Forest, but my overall football enthuasism is at an all time low. For the first time ever Im heading into a new season with no optimism at all. None. Maybe the summer and some shrewd signings will refresh me.

    Brilliant Rich. Absolutely nailed it.

    Loved these bits.........

"It felt like we could use our Saturdays for something more productive, or at least less destructive to our souls."

One point worth considering, though: Patrick Bamford is once again in the Championship playoffs, and looking increasingly likely to be part of Chelsea’s plans next season. When Steve Cotterill brings his newly promoted Bristol City side to Nottingham next season it might be worthwhile reminding him what a terrible move it was to cash in on such a talent to bring in Marlon Harewood. That was smart, wasn’t it?

We're now in an "unavoidable" situation which was actually 100% totally avoidable.

Great but depressing read. I wonder if Stuart Pearce looks back and thinks I should have put my best team out at Spurs. There have been many crap seasons since Brian Clough retired but I don't think I've ever been so pleased when a season ended. God knows how Dougie will either get or keep the players we need. We could be an average Championship team now for years to come. On the other hand he may have been dealt a great hand with some of the best young players coming through in a very long time.

On another subject I parked at The City Ground last night for the Outlaws game - well done Alex Hales - and noticed on the parking ticket Mark Arthur is still CEO.

Great read although the paragraph regarding Patrick Bamford is inaccurate IMO....

People keep saying that Bamford was sold to fund Harewood, which is totally inaccurate. In an age of mercenary footballers, playing only for the money, Marlon Harewood should be applauded for coming back to try to help his old club, on so little money that even Mark Arthur agreed to 'find the money somewhere'. There were a number of other loan players who came in afterwards, who were funded by the sales of Bamford and Wes Morgan. I'm not sure we will see Bamford near the Chelsea 1st team any time soon either, but that's just an opinion.

Other than that, an excellent article, as usual Rich.
