Default The Champions League Final 2015

...will be between Barcelona and Juventus, after a stout defensive performance saw the Old Lady past Real Madrid, 3-2 on aggregate.

Truly the irresistible force against the immovable object.

Saturday June 6th is the day, who's your money on?

I can't see Juve out scoring Barça, no matter how stout they are.

They need Andy Reid for that.

Real look a different beast without Modric and to a lesser extent Khedira... Kroos lost on his own, Isco started well, James is massively overrated. Bale and Ronaldo were pretty lacklustre, not for the first time. Bale gets a lot of stick but I've seen them plenty this season and Ronaldo does very little except run into the box to tap in. Their full backs seem to be their main creative source along with Modric/Kroos/Isco. That said, a couple of mistakes by Ramos in giving the free kick away, not getting out and playing people onside, then rushing over and losing the header to Pogba played a big part in their goal. I like Ramos, some times he is fantastic, but he does have big mistakes in him.

But anyway, Juve were the better team and had more clear chances probably in both games really, they played the counter attack to perfection and I don't think Buffon was really that troubled, they weren't hanging on desperately or anything.

All 4 semis have been some of the best for a long time, the final will surely be a cracker too.

I'd like to see Juventus win in all honestly just because I hate how Barcelona had that transfer ban and yet still bought Suarez, plus everyone expects them to win so it'd be sort of an 'upset'.

If I'm watching football that day, I think it's more likely to Canada v China in the women's World Cup. But I'd like Messi to win.

It would be nice to see Buffon become the first septuagenarian to win a European Cup though.

Italian footballers never age. It must be that margarine they used to advertise on the telly that they claimed kept old men and women from the Med spritely. That's one thing it could be.

They are there. If you don't, you're not listening hard enough.

Just realised I'm going to be landing in Dublin that afternoon for a weekend on the piss (with Ireland v England the following day.)

Juventus all the way for me.

And I hope Chiellini and Evra team up on Suarez for some kind of 'accident'.

Against a team punished for match-fixing in recent times. If you want your winners to follow the rules and play fair, you're in the wrong sport.
