SPOILER: we are going to win that.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

If anyone pays £1,000 for that they're going to be mightily disappointed when they turn up only to discover the match has already been played!

The holder of this ticket is requested to occupy the seat by 3.15pm.

    Were they expecting the scousers?

Even more so when they turn up and find the venue has been demolished.

According to an inflation calculator on the net - 2/6d in 1898 would now be worth £11.38!!!

That's about 20% of the price of the cheapest ticket to a Cup Final nowadays

    From http://www.measuringworth.com/ukcomp...ar_result=2015

"This may not be the best answer.

The best measure of the relative value over time depends on if you are interested in comparing the cost or value of a Commodity , Income or Wealth , or a Project . For more discussion on how to pick the best measure, read the essay "Explaining the Measures of Worth."
If you want to compare the value of a £0 2s 6d Commodity in 1898 there are two choices. In 2014 the relative:
real price of that commodity is £12.44
income value of that commodity is £82.52

If you want to compare the value of a £0 2s 6d Income or Wealth , in 1898 there are three choices. In 2014 the relative:
historic standard of living value of that income or wealth is £12.44
economic status value of that income or wealth is £82.52
economic power value of that income or wealth is £131.80"
