    Default Injury Record

Nobody actually knows what's going on behind the scenes. But when you have mystery injuries to players like Fryatt & Reid, said to be back in two weeks for around 5 months - surely something is going wrong? Long-term injuries to several players. Some kind of curse on the club in regards to injuries?

Is it something as simple as the medical team being the problem? Seeing the FC Bayern Munich doctor resign as Pep Guardiola blamed him for so many injuries - does it come down to the medical team or is it just down to bad luck?

I thought sacking Dave Galley was ludicrous. Medical team should be a constant in the same way the U18, U21 coaches are. You cannot chop & change medical staff because they spend months learning the players, what is good for them, what's bad. Could Assombalonga's injury be down to something like a change in routine that had a bad effect on his body?

Maybe we've appointed former local GP Harold Shipman to the medical staff?

Britt's injury was just a freak accident and could happen to anyone. As for the others, we just like signing some biscuits like Fryatt, Hobbs etc..

Reid is near the end of his career and this persistent groin problem he's been having might be Lansbury's missus related or it may just be that he's nearing the end of his career and can't shake those type of injuries off..

As for Cohen, he has had three serious knee injuries in the past four years and you have to wonder how significantly weaker his knees are as a result. I read somewhere on here that he said he probably couldn't play full back anymore because of all the twisting and turning involve and if he manages to make it back and gets a fourth one, you would be hard pressed to see him going through another 9-10 month rehab.

The head of our medical team is Dr Fox. We have so many injuries because he's rubbish at the medical stuff.
But he's keen on blooding the youth team.

Was talk of an inquiry into all the injuries at the end of Billy 2 which came to nothing.
Although it's more than likely down to a huge dose of bad luck.

The club doctor is Frank Coffey, I used to work with him at QMC A&E- good dr. I imagine all these players with lingering injuries have seen the relevant specialist & had a multitude of investigations.

Hobbs isn't injury prone, I posted the stats the other day. He had one bad knee injury at Hull from which he recovered, and then the ankle injury last season. The time he has been out this season has largely been down to the complications of the pins inserted into the joint to heal it, which had to be removed.

Reid is 32 now, and isn't getting any younger, but played a lot of football in the past few seasons until getting injured last season. This injury which has kept him out this season is (if I recall) a recurrence of that injury. Before then, he was a nomadic bit part player in a few Prem teams and didn't really play a lot of football since leaving us the first time, he's also a bit stocky and likes to enjoy himself a bit off the pitch so you aren't going to expect him to play a lot of games, but when he does he is so important it's worth it.

It's vitally important that they don't rush these players back because if they aren't fully fit and come back too soon (which they probably will, as they love to play and appear to like the club) then they will probably get injured again.

Cohen is the one I'm worried about, he's injured both knees now, one of them twice, and either in midfield and at full back his energy (not necessarily all out pace) is a major part of his game. He won't be the first player to successfully come back from two cruciates in the same knee (we have one at the moment) but with the way he plays it's a big risk of it going again, as he's by far and away the best left back at the club then it's a huge risk not to rush him back too soon as well.

Britt's is just one of those which can happen when you land wrong...

Read the title and thought the club was going to be featured in Guinness' next book. Disappointed.

I tend to regard the good Doctor Coffey as a bit like the Black Knight from "Monty Python" - he's probably insisting "it's just a scratch!" as another Forest player deposits a bag of ligaments and skeleton components onto the treatment table.

I blame Ross Burbeary. Said it last season when we had those freak injury list , doncaster suffered their worst injury crisis when he was there with SOD. Injuries that cleared up mysteriously once SOD & Burbeary left and Dean Saunders took over at doncaster.

I kept 11 out of 12 clean sheets in Whitemoor Prmary School's league winning season in 1985. Years before Harold Shipman attended the same establishment. I was also part of High Pavement College's National Cup winning team of 1992. Harold Shipman has also attended the same establishment 20 or so years before. Not sure if he played football but he was definitely prolific!!!

Could be on to something here... Our players do resemble old ladies a lot of the time!

Time for another investigation into the setup? despite this being the 3rd new setup since the last investigation?

Or, maybe, just maybe, in a contact sport..........players get injured.

FFS! It's typical of our club that they have an injury record. Isn't it available on mp3? Not sure I want to listen to the sound of legs breaking and ligaments snapping, but it would be nice to know that I could if I wanted to.
