Sat in Jo'burg and watched the second leg (South Africa had just had their TV service activated) and my cheer could be heard throughout Africa!

Obviously never seen that interview before, what memories, thanks Jim.

I'm trying to find a Brian Clough documentary he did with the late ITV commentator Brian Moore. It was around 1999 and the documentary was done by Sky. Had it on tape for ages until my mum taped over it with a episode of Corrie.

Not sure this is rare but I only saw it for the first time the other day. Three small clips wedged around Gary Macalister and tony dorigo.

When Clough still worked with Taylor, did they used to sign players and ship them out again almost immediately - like with John Sheridan and Gary Megson? Or David Currie? Or was that indecision because Clough didn't trust his, or whoever's, judgement on a new signing the way he had Taylor's.

Looking through those interviews from the bright-eyed, bushy-tailed young Clough to the clapped out later version, I suppose in real time we just didn't notice the deterioration in his condition until the end, but watching it here I find it rather sad.

League cup final, 1989. First time I ever saw Wembley in person, we went back a few times though so I got quite used to the place.

Watching that just reminds me the importance of Taylor and should be held in as high regard as clough. without him it wasn't the same manager
