    Default 150th anniversary celebration/tournament

This may talk about it but idk, it won't open on my phone

Apparently a 4 team tournament is going to be made with malmö and hamburg, with a third team that hadn't been said yet. Fawaz said it in a interview.

Maybe the 4th team will be CSKA Sofia, who knocked the holders out in the first round of the 1980/81 European Cup!

Malmo Hamburg and Arsenal would be appropriate.

By "relegation battle", do you mean 7th, 12th or 14th?

Valencia I'd hope for - our first ever European opponents and the side we played for our centenary or Arsenal would make sense.

If I could pick three teams I'd love another crack at: Liverpool, Anderlecht and Celtic.

    Valencia would be good.

So long as we all realise that it'll be Luton, Oldham and Leyton Orient.

Shame we didn't play the year before. Malmo did by the looks of things. It's a glorified friendly, but a prestigious one nonetheless. Would have been nice to have on the honours board.

Let's play them, no doubt with a full squad we'll smash them.

    Eh probably not.

Ajax would be good (79-80 semi finalists). Cologne (78-79 semi finalists in a closer tie) are not that good anymore and would be second German team (but maybe that makes it easier for Forest to win).

Or we could go for Sampdoria to turn around the defeat in the Makita Cup or whatever it was called in 1992.

They could have legends games as well, with Forest's team made up from the EC era (they were old enough when they played in Crossley's testimonial though, when Harewood charged back and tackled John Robertson at one point I remember). Hamburg could line-up Keegan, Kaltz, Magath etc. Malmo could put Robert Prytz against Forest once more. Ajax would have Cruyff, Neeskens, Krol, Rep etc (only Krol was playing in 79-80 though from those 4). Or Sampdoria (Vialli, Mancini, Lombardo, Gullit) or Cologne/Koln (Littbarski, Woodcock could play the second half for them maybe).

If it's not Ajax though, Forest would likely have the best history and the best current team wouldn't they?

Tottenham or Southampton would be ok though, so Forest could try to add to their great goals collection against them.

How about inviting the oldest football club in the world?

Would be a nice touch and also piss off the coffin dodgers at Meadow Lane

If it's Hamburg and Malmo knowing Forest you can only go if you attended the 1979-1980 finals.

We should invite Leeds and then the Hamburg and Forest fans can ask them how many European Cups they've won. Pity we couldn't ask Bayern as well.....
