    We're doomed!!

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

    £27m on wages - utterly mind-boggling

And a chairman who allegedly bought in Abdoun and Djebbour. God only knows what the 2015/16 accounts will be with the players that Pearce brought to the club. It really is a mind boggingly amount for wages. Average £1m per man!

No surprise under Billy our wages shot up. They did first time around as well, as we moved away from bonus based payouts to large weekly wages.

Shame Fawaz also wasted a tonne on Abdoun, Djebbour, Gomis et al.

Also expect our losses to increase further as the books for this year and released in twelve months or so.

All in all, pretty piss poor financial management from Forest for a few years now.

Makes it even more inexplicable that we bailed out on last season.

Not surprising. We all know Fawaz was unhappy with the wages that some of the players were on from his rant a few weeks ago. You would only hope he will be more careful in the future, but we have all said this before.

No way. I just can't buy that.

That wage bill means we had a 25-man squad being paid nearly TWENTY ONE THOUSAND EACH. How is that true?!?! Who approved this?!?!

Sounds about right, given that you have to factor in youth players, coaches, loanees and all terminated staff.

It's a ridiculous amount, but it sounds in line with what modern football is like.

Aye, but how much are the tea ladies, kitchen staff, physios and ticket stall people paid? If it makes up much more than one lot of those £21k per week i'd be surprised.

It will also include bonuses, sign-on fees, agent fees and other add-ons, plus the contracts of umpteen former managers being paid off, plus youth team players and players out on loan as well.

According to the accounts there are 61 playing staff and 133 non-playing staff at NFFC.

So that brings the average down a fair bit!

Wow, 133? Let's try and work this out. Probably 60-odd on the bars around the ground, 10 in the ticket office, 6 in the shop, 24 on the turnstiles, 10 cleaners, 4 ground staff, manager, assistant, 7 or 8 coaches...what am i up to, 124...back office staff must be about 15?

And in total the al-Hasawi family have put in over £35m in loans into the club.

    That is a serious investment.

I might be wrong (?) but the shop employees are employees of KitBag aren't they?

    Money well spent...

But don't forget kids - football is a short career, and obviously players are forbidden from getting another job once they retire.
