Default Eddie Howe.....was he watching the same game as me ?

Here is "sour grapes" Howe criticising us and comparing our performance with an away team playing at the Hou Camp. What a tosser. He needs to look a bit closer to home, his first problem being that he needs to accept his side were well beaten and what he can do to address that. Prize plonker and has gone down drastically in my estimation. The score could easily have been 6-2 last night not 2-1. he could start by building a solid defence. Wanted them to go up as underdogs earlier in season but now I hope they don't. As for that Callum Wilson twat diving all over the place (disgracefullY)- what a prize tool he is (and the ref for not booking him and failing to give free-kicks when he kept moving across the fron of darlow when he was kicking the ball out).

Very satisfactory and pleasing win - even more so now we are hearing all this sort of bollocks from their manager. Grow a pair Howe (as Psycho would say).

I was impressed by the way Bournemouth try to play. But .... last night, they were sussed out. We gave them plenty of possession in the areas where it doesn't matter. Left us enough players to guard our goal where it matters. I was less impressed by their moaning, diving, writhing and in the end, they got exactly as they deserved.

He seems to be feeling the pressure a bit these last few weeks. Still seems outwardly calm, but his words betray him.

He is being taken to task by the fans down here in Dorset, specially for his comment "I am baffled why we didn't win..."
Lots of the fans are posting stuff to "unbaffle" him.
He reminds me a little in his manner to how Kevin Keegan was when he got into the mind games of Alex Ferguson a few years ago.
Maybe Bournemouth are one of the top 6 teams we might leap-frog in our attempts to overturn the 12 point deficit for a play-off place.

I'll take that. A win in Camp Nou. We only drew 1-1 there last time.

He was tactically outwitted by Dougie Freedman and had no answer to our aggressive pressing game.

Probably just trying to deflect a bit of the blame from them to us. Our game plan was obvious to all and they weren't good enough to even create a decent chance or two. Even their goal, great as it was, was a long ranger, I don't remember them creating a clear chance all game where as we had other efforts from Antonio, Osborn, Lansbury x3, Lascelles, Lars... the only time you noticed Wilson was when he was doing Superman impressions

"Forest played as the home team like an away side going to the Nou Camp," continued Howe.

To be honest that's exactly what I thought second half, it reminded me of that Barcelona vs Chelsea game from a couple of years ago. There were numerous 'these lot are like feckin Barcelona or sommet' comments in the Trent End

We were literally camped in our own half. 24 percent possession! He's more than entitled to say this

But they didn't create anyhing in the second half, while we had one cleared off the line and a couple of very near misses from Lansbury free-kicks.
You have to acknowledge that there is skill in defending like we did, and appreciate that.

Absolutely, I've said this elsewhere. They played very well yet we defended even better. What Howe says still rings true

You can tell who went to the game and who didn't!

We pressed high against Bolton. We sat deep last night reducing the space in behind for Wilson to exploit. We parked the bus in a relatively intelligent manner and Bournemouth couldn't find a way through nor did they have a plan b.

Sorry Chris mate, but it was the opposite of an aggressive pressing game. We just sat there and soaked it all up like a sponge. If we'd pressed them hard I think we would've been in trouble

Great management. Going toe to toe or aggressively pressing would have seen us lose. DF got the better of Howe who can only play one way.

I remember watching Chelsea park the bus on the way to winning the CL in 2010, funnily enough at the Nou Camp against Barcelona. I don't like Chelsea much but they did what they had to and I remember thinking fair play, it was a very disciplined, committed and thoughtful display against Barcelona in their tika-taka prime.

Barca had 72% possession in both legs

Forest 0 Swansea 0 in League One in 2008. That seemed a bit one-sided in terms of possession in the opposition's favour?

Depends what you call a pressing game; we closed them down all over the pitch. They had a method, and we had the antidote. We played it carefully with one eye on getting back, which sometimes made us abandon possession in midfield. They struggled to overcome our superior tactics. Their pathetic gamesmanship, including surrounding the referee, feigning injury etc etc, deserved nothing. There shouldn't be any criticism of the way we played. It more than worked with their actual chances on goal restricted to a couple. We, on the other hand, had many more chances. Neither Eddie Howe or any of us lot should be in any doubt that the better side won.

He said they deserved to get something from the Brentford game and from the highlights I saw Brentford could have had 6.

24% possession of the football. 100% possession of the three points.

76% possession to the other team at home is a tad embarrassing though

They can't have taken into account the amount of time Darlow had the ball in his hands and at goal kicks in our 24%

That maybe so, but if you cant turn it goals then you only have yourself to blame. Thought he had more class than that.

    Agreed with this.

Howe is spot on despite everyone's rose tinted glasses.

Bournemouth were brilliant with the ball but had they made the right decisions in the final third and applied that killer pass, we would've been slaughtered, especially in the first 20 minutes. Because we held it at 1-0 though we regrouped and then we effectively shut up shop when Mancienne came on.
