    Default Pearce Interview on Sky

Very nice to hear from SP and it casts a really interesting light on how the end was dealt with by Fawaz (very respectfully it seems so fair play to the big man) and how SP feels about what happened and the subsequent job offer.

I made no secret of my feelings that he needed to go and am glad that despite it all there are no bad feelings and it doesn't reflect too badly on the club.

You've got to love Physco and all he has done for Forest, but he reminds me a little of David Brent in the Christmas episode of The Office. A broken man fighting to keep face.

I wish him all the luck in the world though, I love you big man and hopefully one day we'll see you back at the club in some capacity.

Also, massive respect to Fawaz, if Physco says how amicable and charitable Fawaz was, you know it's true.

I do think he won't get another management job though

He will simply of the way he acts and the references he will get. He may not get one at this level for a while but he is capable of managing in the lower leagues easily.

Great man, great character, great footballer.

But sadly I doubt he'll ever be a good manager.

If I were him I'd bite the bullet and go down to League 2 or Conference level. Slowly build his career like Martin O'Neill and Nigel Clough did. Gain the necessary experience and then take it from there.

An advisor role on the same wages. Bloody hell.

I really wish he wasn't a shit coach/manager because as a man he shows honesty and integrity and wish he was still around the club in some capacity

To be honest I've been pretty impressed with the honesty and frankness displayed by DF since he came in, so in that respect we hopefully still have that in our manager... SP was just not the right man for this club and these players for whatever reason, and I suspect its as much to do with those around him as SP himself. Still hopefully we can all agree that this draws a line under SP's reign and we can get on with wallowing in our renaissance under DF.

Just imagine, Pearce's integrity and Davies' management ability combined into one manager.

Brave interview. Shame it didn't work out for him here, but agree with someone above who said he needs to cut his cloth in League Two. Don't bring Steve Wigley with you next time though.

He needs to ditch his back room team of youth development coaches if he wants to manage a league club again.

I only likes the gk coach he brought in, everyone else was useless to me.

Eastick must be regretting that he turned down and doesn't want the Singapore technical director job last month. A few weeks later , he's jobless.

Far too nice to be a football manager

There needs to be an element of fear. He doesn't have that

Looking at how DF and SP both interview I'd be more apprehensive under DF.

If he can find a nasty streak he may make a decent manager.far too FA in his conduct

Typically dignified. It's impossible not to respect him. I hope my employer brings him in to speak, we've had some right throbbers, Psycho would be a breath of fresh air.

I agree. There's nothing wrong with being nice but people need to know there's a line and if they cross it, they'll see the incredible hulk appear.

That makes them wary of upsetting you again and brings about respect. I'm not sure Pearce ever lost his shit, so the players probably found him a bit of a doormat.

Needs to be given a bit more of a chance before his management skills are completely written off. Sure there's been plenty of other managers who've not had that much success really but still get jobs.
