Fair play to him. We can't have too many complaints about that.

If anyone could think of a thread title that has alliteration then that would be nice. I couldn't think of any words beginning with K or M that meant go or leave.

Kevin MacDonald has left Nottingham Forest to rejoin Aston Villa as assistant manager.
MacDonald joined Forest in the summer as lead professional development phase coach and led the club's Under 18 side to the FA Youth Cup quarter-finals.

The club would like to thank MacDonald for his service.

I was worried then we were losing Kevin from LTLF but it's not that bad thankfully.

A real loss but probably too much to expect that we could hold on to him. Villa is his club and when they came calling there was only going to be one outcome.

Anyone else think we're spread a bit thin in the coaching department? DF only brought in Lawrence, and said the plan was to 'promote from within'. But how many other recognised coaches do we have right now? Brazil and Lester?

Currently under the 'staff profiles' section, there is just Dougie on his tod http://www.nottinghamforest.co.uk/team/staffprofiles/

This is bringing back painful memories of our Kevin's departure from the forum. Always in our thoughts

Big miss but not surprising. Said we should have promoted him when pearce was in charge because he is decent.

We are looking thin again. Presumably Dougie only allowed to bring in Lennie on his own because he is potentially only here until the summer.

It's OK, our Chief Executive will have a list of other people he'd like to see in the role, and will be working his way through it now.

As Fawaz says, the academy is the most precious thing and I am satisfied that all reasonable steps will be taken to minimise the impact on our youth players. after all, if Fawaz can find a new first team manager in 45 minutes, he can find an U-18s manager in a day or two.

Everything will definitely be completely fine.

Kev MacDonald had a job, eieio, and in this job he coached some kids, eieio. With a tackle here, free kick there, here a hoof, there a hoof, every where a hoof hoof, Kev MacDonald had a job, then went to Villa.
