It may have changed but I read a couple of weeks ago that he was pretty much out for the season.

Do we do all of the Ginger Hair Island's scouting for him?

As we are practically without a chance of catching up with no.6, then I would prefer to see Tyler Walker given an early chance to prove himself rather than give valuable game time to other teams player.

    Can I just say I called this a few days ago before the story broke on the Alan Nixon thread;

    "It's Chuba Akpom from Arsenal.

But he is in high demand and as mentioned we would have to convince Wenger he will be coming here for game time and not just to sit on the bench.

He's lightning quick and would make us play on the ground more which is what Douglas was alluding to.

    Can't see it happening though!"

Can I also add that I'm in no way ITK usually, but on this occasion I spoke to a manager of another Championship club (not Norwich) at a family event and he said as well as his club NFFC had also made a firm offer for Akpom.

On the plus side we can now guarantee Akpom a starting spot!

Agreed, would rather see walker play than this guy and what about lars too? If Dex and Fryatt are both out then he should be next in line for the last few games of the season, chance for him to come in and try and get a few goals with no pressure on him ahead of next season

I am sorry Matt but its a no from me regarding Lars, look at the report from yesterdays under 21,s he was shit again and got brought off.
I have watched football for forty plus years and this guy just does not do it for me,his ball control is non existent,he never jumps for the ball,he is more interested in backing into the opposition player,Rubbish !!

To bad he gave Tyler an a assist and brought down a ball excellently that was punted in the air and turned and could've made a goal. No use in calling him crap, support the damn players.

Kenny Burns told me he doesn't even think Lars is a footballer, I have to agree with him.

500,000 of the clubs pounds disagree, only time will tell. Personally i feel he's made the move 2 years too late to stand any real chance of cutting it in the English game.

It doesn't, But I rate someone who has played the game and from the bits I have seen he isn't going to change my mind. And this is from the guy that likes Tudgay,Derbyshire,McLaughlin,Harding etc

Kenny Burns played in an era where Duncan Ferguson would have been considered soft, and is probably expecting or hoping for Lars to end up as that type of player. These days, that type of player is just a red card waiting to happen.

From what I saw from the U21s highlights, he has improved. Not enough yet though. From recent match reports from the U18s, it sounds as though he willl have a battle on his hands from Gerry McDonagh for the 'big strong hold-up' type centre forward, perhaps.

Based on what I've seen of Lars, I actually think he could be pretty good for Forest. Just because he's tall doesn't mean he's a target man, there's a lot more to his game than that.
If there's one thing Forest fans love, it's hating a player in the squad for no real justified reason.

Lets see what happens with Wolves and Brentford first. Win both games and we are right back in it. Lose those and I agree with you, there will never be a better time to play Walker and Burke.

You have to remember though that there is no such thing as a meaningless game for a manager. They have to win games or lose their job, mid-table or not.

Good of arsenal to let us have him, they've been good to us in recent years, eg Ramsey, Lansbury, now him.

On another note, Burns also thought britt wouldn't be a good signing for us, if you see his article back in summer, so he doesn't know everything, far from it...
