    Great article that.

More shambolic nonsense at Forest too.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

Good read that. What a shame that Chettle so obviously felt undervalued by the club. I hope he does well.

Thats what Davies did, he gutted the club of a lot of people who loved the club and enjoyed working at it

Was Nick Marshall one of his victims cms? I'm having a discussion elsewhere on the forum and I couldn't recall the circumstances behind Nick's departure.

Thanks linking that, fascinating read, an often ignored side of football.

I feel I should mention that it was Chipperfield who tweeted the link initially, if only to mitigate some of the calls for twitter to be burned alive floating about on here. If you are selective about who you follow and don't read the #nffc stream, you can get a good quality resource. 4-5 good media folk and about 8-10 good fans tweeters and you are sorted.

But yeah, Chetts - he should be here. Ilkeston feeder club?

Nick Marshall was one of Billy's primary "unfinished business" subjects.

At ND's request, he'd evidently scouted some of the recommendations Billy had put to the "acquisition panel".

Yep, Davies came in carrying a grudge and Fawaz was desperate enough to give him as much power as he wanted after having sacked SoD and lost McLeish ( who i think resigned? ) in the space of 40 days

I still think we missed out on Che Adams.

Chettle and Wilson certainly seem to rate him highly. I'd be interested to know if he was touted to Forest at any point, or indeed if we scouted him whilst at Ilkeston. Looking at Chet's comments (reading between the lines and the outright comments) about his departure from Forest, the answer could be very telling.

The first time I saw his name we were being linked with him whilst he was at Ilkeston. The next time he was scoring twice against Spurs. Callum Chettle was with us at one time and is now performing well for Ilkeston.

    Telling, like I said.

Going back a while, our youth team staff have been treated like crap. I am deliberately mentioning no names either way.

Let's hope that the interruption a bit ago, coupled with youth staff leaving/turnover, hasn't taken too much toll. We've a cracking crop coming through now, which bodes very well for the future.

Ethos. Which means that not only should our fishing net as a club have smaller holes, but that people who have been loyal to us a club shouldn't be pissed off.

Loved Chettle. Great centre half. Should have been capped.
