This week has been all about the long tail tits for me.
Several times I've seen them flitting through the bushes outside my office window (once accompanied by a group of blue tits), then the other day I got home from work and saw some in my garden for the first time ever.

Great birthday present from my wife, a full days bird watching in Extremadura with a local expert guide. 6 or 7 new species before lunch, followed by several more in the afternoon with a grand finale of a flock of around 50 vultures feeding on a dead cow. What a way to become a pensioner!!
Photos to follow if I can remember how to upload pictures.

On the David Attenborough show last night they had one with a load of Budgies and a Hawk in Australia.
    It was brilliant.

One of my friends took some of that footage. Attenborough is such a wonderful resource to have within walking distance, at some point in my life I'll get round to understanding more about the wildlife which inhabits it.

    Indeed it is.

It's so easy to take it all for granted.

You will never look back , It is a satisfying experience really.
Only really got involved in Birding a few years ago , Most folk still take the piss but I don't give a rats arse , Most folk and family that take the piss are the uneducated ones.
I appreciate it's not everyone's bag but it's harmless and being nature you really cant predict what is going to happen.
