    That is all.

By "relegation battle", do you mean 7th, 12th or 14th?

Fawaz to piss off and take his mates with him, we will struggle for money, but Fawaz is the complete result of the way football, premier league, sky enhanced circus has driven the game.

what ever happens in the future, this man and his crazy regime may well have damaged this club beyond repair.

Already posted elsewhere, but fuck it.........

With Dougie Freedman swapping Crystal Palace for Bolton this week, we have got the views of an Eagles fan, who gives his opinion on the new Wanderers boss.

Freedman stepped down from his post at Selhurst Park on Tuesday and was confirmed as the successor to Owen Coyle on Thursday morning, with a number of Palace supporters are understandably aggrieved by his decision to move to the Reebok Stadium.

Now the appointment has been confirmed, we have got the views of npn from Palace forum holmesdale.net in a special edition of Q&A.

Q: Is this a good move for Freedman and does he have enough managerial experience to get Bolton promoted?

A: Not a good move for DF and, I suspect, Bolton. He got plenty of time here due to his historic links with the club. I suspect he will never get given anywhere near that sort of leeway at Bolton, who still seem to think they are a Premier League team on their way back.

I don't think Bolton are good enough to go up at the first time of asking, and I suspect you will go backwards under DF before any progress is made. I suspect he will be gone by the end of the season.

Q: Are you sad to see Freedman leave Palace and do you think promotion could have been a possibility under him?

A: I'm sad he's left like this. I remember him as a decent player and a decent person, so the manner of departure leaves a sour taste.

I'm also sad to see him go as I was an advocate for giving him as much time as he needed. There has been too much change at this club over the past few years and I wanted to see some stability.

For me, it's way too early to think about promotion, but I'm less worried about relegation. I honestly don't believe DF is tactically good enough to make a difference either way, provided we can keep the morale of the players up.

Q: What sort of football did your team play under his management? What formations did he use?

A: On the whole, dreadful. Very defensive, even at home, up until somehow hitting on a decent formula over the last 6 weeks. I'd go as far as to say naive, bordering on inept, tactically.

Formation was, for most of his tenure, 4-2-2-1-1, with the midfield so deep, it played like 6-2-1-1. 20 games without a win would make you think it may not be working, but he flatly refused to change it.

Q: What kind of manager is he? Are players told that they are doing something wrong, or is he more friendly towards them?

A: I get the impression he's a sort of 'protective big brother' manager, taking the youngsters under his wing, without the Ferguson hair-drier stuff.

Q: What are your favourite memories of his time as a manager at Selhurst Park?

A: I'd have to say the last 8 games and, of course, the win at Old Trafford last year. The rest is better forgotten.

So let me get this straight.

We have replaced a club legend after 28 games with a manager who actually has a marginally worse record than he does?

I'm not missing anything here am I?

I'm sure everyone will be happy that wanted Pearce out. The cards have been dealt, read them and weep.

Let ME get THIS straight..he's been our manager for all of half an hour and people are already hounding him out and questioning Fawaz? At least wait until the Brighton game ffs what's the matter with you all? Under Pearce we had an AWFUL record, with Freedman we don't have a record yet, so see it out first!

    Fawaz the common denominator.

So much butt hurt. Pearce had to go, we had to get a new manager. Let's see how he does.

I think that's a reasonably succinct summation to be fair.

    Exactly

At least we waited 28 games

I think sacking Pearce was idiotic.

I think replacing him with a manager with a worse record is borderline retarded.

I've been questioning Fawaz since O'Driscoll.

Surely our bulging trophy cabinet and Premier League status answers that question.

Not sure why he's continually turned down Barcelona's advances. Maybe he's waiting for the Brazil job...

Kinda feel like it is somehow born out of spite?

Try supporting FOREST some of you. Nobody is bigger than the club. Unless we go out of existence, Nottingham Forest will still be here when owner/manager/players/today's fans and Anal have all gone. Fact.

Said it before, that moment started to destroy my life long love affair with football and Forest, but this love affair was hard to put behind me, so I struggled on, driven by habit far too many times. The arrival of Pearce honestly made my heart lift, patience and stability were wrapped up in the club legend.

TOnight heartbroken and distraught, my love affair with the club once more is on the brink.
