    Default Average attendances for championship

This thread could also fit in football banter i guess

Interesting to look at, I wonder how this compares to previous forest seasons, a bit higher?

Paul Hart's time was the only post-PL season where we averaged 24k.

Looks like we like managers who already have a Forest connection.

Boro's are poor, given the season they are having.

They built a stadium that is too big for them. They were always going to have these spells in the second tier when its half empty. That's my fear whenever I hear talk of Forest building a new ground.

The football we played that season was unbelievable and every time you went in the ground you felt like we'd score a few goals and batter someone.

    Oh for those days again.

I lived in 'Boro many moons ago. They can only afford to go when they're doing well!

Millwall must be so shit to go to, only half the ground being full all the time.

I still haven't been to the Den and I live in SE London. Usually I've been working or on crutches or something. But ultimately I think it probably comes down to thinking there must be a nicer afternoon I could have somewhere some time with that money.

Pretty solid attendance levels. Shame the players and staff are letting the fans down so monumentally.

The place and the club have a bad rep but they are a passionate bunch that like see their side get 'stuck in', a bit old fashioned in some ways.
It would be up near the top of my list if I lived in SE, especially if they are in form.

Pretty impressive support from Brighton considering their very mediocre season so far.

Brighton away followings have dropped and their home gates are going the same way.
One of their fans was saying away days are now back to their 'proper' fans going, albeit in smaller numbers, instead of the prawn sandwich brigade snapping the tickets up.

Would be higher if we did allow more away fans too. leeds and Wednesday for example would have brought 4+ thousand rather than 2k max. Pretty good though considering the way the season is going now.

My favourite game of the season, beers in London Bridge and 5 mins to the ground on the train (happy days).

I think the attendances have gone up since their league position has improved. Pretty sure they were getting around 15k average nearer the start of the season.

It's nothing special. Your usual lower league ground, only in a rough part of Lahndahn and generally full of flat caps and people doing the Lambeth Walk.

Not Lambeth surely. I pass it on the way to work. It just looks miserable.

I went for a 0-0 draw back in the 10/11 season and you're right, it's just grey and dreary. It epitomises the rough side of London, really. I went to West Ham in the cup in the same year, and the 2 were very different clubs to say they're not too far apart. As I saw it, West Ham were the classic, smiley, happy cockney types, and Millwall were the angry type.
