    Default Relegation Concerns

I don't want to get all knee jerky here but is anyone else starting to get the feeling we are more likely to be flirting with the bottom 6 or so teams rather than the top 6?

Since roughly mid September we have been showing relegation form without looking like we can truly stop the rot.

Gradually we are slipping down the table but because the descent so far has been slow we've still been looking enviously at the playoffs dreaming we can make up the gap. However in the meantime a lot of clubs have bunched up and a couple more winless games will likely see us drop to 16th/17th.

I have a feeling we are in for a rude awakening within the next month.

Can anyone give me a logical, sensible reason on how we'll finish comfortably mid table or better? Preferably without Reids return being the sole reason we'll prosper.

    CURRENT RELEGATION THREAT LEVEL: SUBSTANTIAL

Why do we have to come up with an answer that differs from the most obvious one? When Reidy's back we'll move up the table again.

Oh and we're about two wins off the play-offs.

The quality of the squad has meant that the form of the past 2 or 3 months has been better than what it could have been and is precisely why we won't get relegated or go near there.

It could and I hope it will get so, so much better though. Everything is there for it to be.

There is no way Reid is going to come in and magically make everyone stop playing dire football. Reid won't be fully fit by next month and if the slide carries on as it is, it will be too late by then and we will have our work cut out.

It shows the quality we have in our squad that we are were we are despite playing awful all season. Where would we be if we had a crap squad.

We won't go down but we won't improve if things stay as they are.

No concern here. Think they're still enough in the tank even of we continue to sputter on

Reid will make a difference when fit and as long as Pearce doesn't t play him behind lansbury like earlier in the season.

If our form since mid - September continues we will be relegated. However we have enough talented individuals in the team to see us right. The concern would be if Antonio gets injured.

If we're waiting for our players to magically discover confidence and some kind of 'arrogance' which Pearce thinks is the root of our problems, then there's a very real possibility we could get dragged into it.

A drastic change to our style and how we set up is needed. Our performances for the majority of the season have been shocking. I can't see it changing as things are.

It`s not the players that aren`t good enough...It`s Pearce that`s not good enough, short of ideas, cannot motivate the players and tactically inept, this is going to get worse and by then, it could be to late, to say where to good to go down is absolutely idiotic!

To be honest Pearce is not a manager, he should never have got the job in the first place, and the results so far speak for themselves, results are the name of the game, no time for sentiment, Pearce needs to start earning his wage, or he needs to go!

    1. We get rid of Abdoun finally and bring in a couple of decent players
    2. There are at least 3 teams a lot worse than us

We seem to be scared of every team we play, set up to try and not get beat.

If you look at the available playing staff we should be going out to try and dominate teams.

If Reid comes back and Pearce plays him in a deep lying 'quarterback' role like earlier in the season then nothing will change.

Can't see a relegation fight but I reckon we'll be lower mid-table. Too good to go down, too shit to do anything else.

Agree with Fallon. Won't go down as we have too many good players. Although looking at recent form........
