Yeah, they're certainly chucking some serious cash about. Some would suggest they're paying over the odds for players but I couldn't possibly comment.

It's looking like a good year in Serie A this year. Sarri's getting an aged squad, Conti at inter and Milan with a proper coach for the first time in ages!

Milan are undergoing a bit of a rebuild and we're buying midfielders who can move the ball around. (Krunic and in the next day or two hopefully Bennacer).

Conte has a habit of doing very well in his first year at the clubs as well.

Serie A definitely going to be good next season. Resurgence in Italian football.

A bit worried about Viola. Squad is threadbare. Della Valle brothers really ground things to a halt for the club. Not even sure they will hold on to Chiesa and the new owner whilst ambitious (from USA) has a big job on his hands.

Milan in that spending spree with the Chinese really did make some odd deals like Borini and it looks like you trying to off-load quite a few. Bennacer had some decent clubs after him so it looks like a coup. You probably going to get Veretout from Viola too.

Conte’s Inter will push Juve hard, expect Inter to be close to Juve with Napoli somewhere in the distance

Apparently Bennacer has agreed terms and yes Veretout seems to be close. Chiesa is said to be Juve bound, and I think you're right. Without some serious replacing of talent it will be a tricky year for your Viola.

In other news, remember when it was deemed poor form to bring a knife to the footy scraps?

Juve seem to have taken thi gs a bit far...

As it stands Veretout is heading to Roma. They have a deal accepted whereas Milan keep trying to foist Biglia on Fiorentina in an exchange plus money, and they're not interested.

Afcon player of the tournament Bennacer is in Milan having his medical and in the past few hours it seems we've agreed a deal for Angel Correa. A snip at €50m!

    2. Bundesliga kicks off this Friday night, the opening fixture sees VfB Stuttgart take on Hannover 96 at the Mercedes-Benz Arena.

A bumper crowd is expected, hoping to see the Dunkelroter put down a marker for the upcoming season.

The Fan-Group „Commando Cannstatt“ have organised the traditional „Cannstatt Caravan“, the march from the Station of Bad Cannstatt down the Mercedesstraße to the Arena.

Edit: this is the last „Caravan“, from the Relegation-Play-off against 1.FC Union Berlin:

Meanwhile, on Planet Zog, Real Madrid are desperately trying to get rid of Gareth Bale, to anyone who will pay his €327.000 per week (after Tax) wages.

The Welshman‘s relationship with Coach Zinedine Zidane has completely broken down, and the Frenchman wants rid pronto, the slight problem is that there isn’t a club on the planet who can afford the frequently-injured forward‘s wages, bar perhaps someone in the Chinese Super League.

But if Bale goes to China that’s a massive waste to the game, he’s only 30!

Weird, is it not, to recall Forest were possibly a few days from signing him on loan from Spurs as a Left Back, until Benoît Assou-Ekotto got himself injured?

Not any more, the club has moved to Jako for this season. But any club who averages around 50.000 per home match is going to be worth the attention of any kit-supplier).

(And yes, I am in that crowd somewhere).

    Welcome to Stuttgart Bazza.

The second largest ethnic group here is Turks. And Theres a few in that Photograph (and I know, some of the local Turkish lads are well in with the VfB Ultras and have their own firm too).

Chiesa coming in seems crazy to me, I like him as a player but I can’t see him getting enough game time to grow as a player. I’ve got a feeling Juve will play a 4312 this season with Bernadeschi and Dybala being used behind Ronaldo and Icardi if that happens.

Germany’s very immigrant friendly, but oddly we don’t see that many immigrants from sub-Saharan Africa or the Middle East down here.

From Wikipedia (and this is based on the latest 2018 census):

„The largest groups of foreign nationals were Turks (22,025), Greeks (14,341), Italians (13,97, Croats (12,985), Serbs (11,547) followed by immigrants from Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Portugal, Poland, France, and Austria. 39% of foreign nationals come from the European Union (mostly Italy, Greece, and Poland)“

So,as you can see, Stuttgart doesn’t have a large amount of immigrants of African descent.
