In the 2.Bundesliga, SC Paderborn lose 3-1 to Dresden, but Union Berlin Slip up themselves, drawing 2-2 against Bochum.

That means on goal difference, Paderborn are promoted to the Bundesliga!

Union Berlin will contest the Relegation Play-Off against VfB Stuttgart, the first leg will be in Stuttgart on Thursday night.

Regardless of the result from the Bundesliga playoff, VfB Stuttgart have announced that their new Coach from the start of next season will be Tim Walter.

The 43-Year old was coaching Holstein Kiel in the 2. Bundesliga, and will take over in July, regardless of which division Die Dunkelroter find themselves in.

So, tomorrow night (Thursday) sees the most important game in recent VfB Stuttgart history as they meet 1.FC Union Berlin in the First leg of the relegation-playoff to decide who plays in the Bundesliga next season.

The home match is completely sold-out, all tickets were sold in 1,5 hours from their release last week. 55.000 raucous Swabians, including this adopted one, will pack the Mercedes-Benz Arena to cheer on the team.

For the away leg in Berlin on Monday, there’s only 2.000 tickets (Union’s ground is only 22.000 capacity) so what VfB are doing is to put up a 60m screen on the Cannstatter Kurve for Monday night, and throw-open the doors of the Mercedes-Benz Arena to VfB Fans to come and watch together; the only cost being you have to buy one drink!

And the tickets for that have also gone already.

Let’s hope for a decent performance tomorrow to put the tie to bed.

    Hey!
    Hey!
    Achten hundert drei und neunzehn!
    Hey!
    Hey!

(Repeat, ad nauseum, until you fall over drunk).

There’s still two hours until kickoff, and the long walk from the City Center to the Mercedes-Benz Arena has just been done:

Forest should go in for Union Berlin's Sebastian Andersson. Stuttgart's defence can't handle him at all

Much like NFL redzone. On a sunday I usually have gamepass on the main tv to watch the Cardinals and I usually have a spare TV and put redzone on.

They do it here on Sky Italia. It's a ballache if you want to watch a game but if you're nomming prawn sarnies, flicking through pornhub it's a great way to follow the action ( so I'm told).

Nice for someone else in Spain to win a trophy. The last 15 minutes were brilliant. Guedes for Valencia missed a 1v1 from the halfway line then missed an open goal with the Barca keeper up for a last minute corner

FC Bayern defeat RB Leipzig by three goals to nil, to win the German Cup in Berlin.

That makes it a League and Cup double this season for the men from München.

Robert Lewandowski bagged a brace, confirming him as the „Golden Boot“ for this season as the Cup competition‘s top scorer with seven goals, along with his „Golden Boot“ as the Bundesliga‘s top scorer which he picked up last weekend.

Serie A concludes this evening and the 4 way race for the last champions league spot is where the action is. Although in truth only Atalanta (currently in 3rd) deserve a spot.

Milan need to beat Empoli and hope either Inter or Atalanta lose or draw. Atalanta need to just do as well as Inter. Inter need to beat Empoli who themselves need a win to avoid relegation. ...and Roma are praying for a quite possible collapse from everyone above them.

Given Milan and Inter's form it will be a case of falling over the line despite their best efforts to balls it up in recent weeks. Still, should be fun.

    Currently...

    Spal 1- 2 Milan
    Atalanta 0-1 Sassuolo
    Merda 0 - 0 Empoli

    Milan currently third.

    Somehow.

Unless I’m massively mistaken, an absolutely farcical decision to give Inter a penalty just now. Keeper and striker go for a 50/50, the ball goes out for a throw in so clearly the keeper must have got something on the ball? Not to mention the striker is stretching and goes down without the keeper bringing him down. 5 minutes of arguing followed by 30 seconds of looking at a tv screen and giving the wrong decision

Must say, this seems to happen a bit in Italy where as Germany they tend to correct mistakes.

    Well that makes it worse.

    Currently

Atalanta winning, Merda winning, Milan 2-2

Edit: never a penalty although VAR has given it.

Really happy for Atalanta, incredible season, Gasperini will be linked to big jobs i reckon after this season.

Hopefully Poch leaves Spurs after then champions league final, comes to Juve and all is well in the world.
