Naki, who is in Germany for a visit, was last year convicted of making terror propaganda for the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK)

I suspect The Stuttgart People's Liberation Front are behind it.

Man accused of offending Turks visits country in Europe with second largest population of Turks.

Not his best move, was it.

Plays his football in Turkey too. Was a decent player when at St Pauli, albeit of the 'luxury' type. In fact, if memory serves he was on trial at Forest around the time he left St Pauli.

Lukas Podolski has branched out after his retirement:

In other news, former German international Mario Gomez has re-joined VfB Stuttgart from Wolfsburg.

This could be a potentially astute signing for Hannes Wolf’s men, as they’ve looked a bit lightweight up front so far this season.

The Bundesliga returns from its Winter Break this weekend, and I cannot wait!

Mario? Is he Italian, no! Gomez, oh must be Spanish, no! Oh, he's German...

Great signing for them, seems to be having an off year at the moment but usually scores bag loads every season.

VfB have needed reinforcement up front; last seasons’ main man, Golden Boot winner Simon Terodde, has struggled a bit against Bundesliga defences and the wonderfully-named Chadrac Akolo has struggled for fitness (although when fit, he’s a wonderfully exciting talent!)

Gomez will bring a major presence up front and goals. He’s still got it at this level!

So tonight, it’s Leverkusen in fourth v. FC Bayern, it should be a cracker, and a real test for the Bavarians.

Robben and Ribéry start for Bayern, who are without Lewandowski and Hummels and Leverkusen are unbeaten at home in ten months!

So, Mario Gomez makes his debut and forces a comedy own-goal as Stuttgart defeat Hertha Berlin 1-0!

Zidane living on borrowed time surely. Lease let them miss out on the Champions League! I’m sure UEFA will see that they don’t though.
