    Ancelotti sacked at Bayern.

Montella coming under fire here and two very loseable games coming up.

There's a lot of fingers crossed around Milan atm.

Astonishing considering his record, but he left Robben and Ribéry on the bench and they got absolutely done over.

Interesting to see who the Bavarians go for next.

I thought this might happen the other day. Real funny timing though, usually the "elite" clubs do most of their managerial changes in the off season so something must have been going sour behind the scenes.

They have been dominant in the league but whenever I have seen them in Europe they have been rubbish. Definitely took a step back since Pep left (even though trophy record is the same).

Shame for Ancelotti as I think he's a top manager, bet he will be back in England soon. If I was West Ham I would get rid of Bilic and throw money at him.

    Thomas Tuchel maybe?

I would like to see Nagelsmann get it but maybe they think it will be too early for him. He's only just turned 30, christ...

Nagelsmann would be my outside bet.

    Tüchel is available of course.

As long as they don’t try and poach Hannes Wolf, I’m happy.

Watching Real Sociedad vs Betis on the free Sky Sports channel, 4-4 currently - terrible defending from both sides but cracking game. Gary Birtles who is commentating is losing his shit watching it.

I don't think many sides are bothering with defending anymore.

Barcelona FC ars taking part in the "national strike", I was wondering what the Catalonia premier league would look like assuming Catalonia becomes an independant nation and Barcelona are not allowed to play in the Spanish leagues. The end of the club as a force in the world perhaps?

No chance that would happen. You would bet the people that don't want independence to happen will threaten it, but it won't happen.

When Messi is gone Suarez will be gone too, and you look at there squad past that and there is hardly anybody.

Can't wait for them to go, I absolutely despise them as a club. Arrogant, diving and always bringing politics into it (not only on the pitch but always behind the scenes).

Could be that both on footballing terms and political that those in Madrid would start to demand the removal of Barcelona if independance does happen. A"Real" political football

That could be where your European super league comes in..... whether they believe it or not RM need Barca to sell their product.

At large parts of their history, Barcelona played in a Catalan League.

Their spokesman said that essentially they would be welcomed into any European league.

Default La Liga, Serie A & other world football.

    Well.

Absolute scenes at the Mercedes-Benz Arena tonight for the Bundesliga match between VfB Stuttgart and 1.FC Köln.

Stuttgart, after promotion last season have made a modest start to the 1.Bundesliga - staying up is the goal - but the Billy Goats of Köln are really struggling and can’t buy a point at the moment.

First half, end to end stuff with Stuttgart taking the lead on 38 through Donis.

Second half more even, VfB give the ball away on the Köln “D”, the Billy Goats break away and score in the 77th minute!

Ten minutes later, VfB defender Holger Badstuber makes a terrrific tackle on the edge of his box, but the Referee awards a Penalty to Köln!

But wait, the Video Assistant Referee is invoked, and after three minutes the decision comes - no penalty! Goal kick to VFB!

Köln are distraught, and VfB keep possession well, until the 94th minute when the ball is worked to striker Simon Terodde, who plays in Chadrac Akolo, who somehow forces it over the line!

2-1 to Stuttgart and the majority of the 58,716 crowd go absolutely mad.

Reminds me why I love football.

I would really enjoy it if the PSG bubble burst as a result of the ongoing criminal investigation against Al-Khelaifi.
