    "Gash" is probably closest.

I watched a bit of bottom half Eredivisie action the other day and I couldn't believe how bad it was. Am I just an uncultured pleb?

    No, not really.

The technical standard of players is good, but in the Netherlands, the "big three" - Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord - dominate the game.

They have the lion's share of what money there is and tend to hoover up the best talent.

Most championship sides would probably hold their own in the Eredivisie, outside of the aforementioned three major sides.

Chelsea's G team are allegedly competitive when they are instructed to win.

Also liked Milan because of Arrigo Sachi's side in the late eighties. That was my favourite European team.

As I type my wife has just switched it over to X Factor.

What an unbelievable side that was.

Borussia Mönchengladbach must be one of the most satisfying team names to say.

The most unpopular man is Germany is the Moenchengladbach fan who starts "Give us a B..." chants.

I still can't watch a Juventus victory without wondering if the ref is on their payroll. Surely they must have won a trophy legitimately at some point in the past, but I doubt I'll ever believe it.

Superb own goal by the Monchengladbach defender. Lobbed his own keeper from thirty yards.

It seems so common it has gathered speed as a meme here..

    Bent as a seven-Euro note.

Not sure why they'd bother though. They have the best team by miles and everyone else is skint.

It seems that way. Ultimately they can afford to pay the ref more than any other team.

I did him an injustice. The Monchengladbach defender lobbed his keeper from inside the centre circle. That goal led to Dortmund's first win since September and BM's first defeat of the season. A very special finish.

Looks like Christoph Kramer might not have recovered from the concussion he sustained in the World Cup Final!

Like I said before, I really want Moyes to succeed, he's a good manager and didn't deserve everything he got at United last season. I hope he bounces back and does well for Sociedad and gets some credibility back. I'd put money on us seeing United V Sociedad at some point over the next year or 2.
