Erling Braut Haaland to Borussia Dortmund for €20m, next week.

I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

VfB Stuttgart have moved quickly to secure a new trainer, with TSV Hoffenheim Assistant Coach, Pellegrino Matarazzo, taking the top job in Baden-Württemberg.

The 42-year old American-Italian worked under Julian Nagelsmann at Hoffenheim, having previously coached their u-17 side.

He’s an interesting choice, and not one that many observers had picked.

Meanwhile in Spain, Malaga have suspended Head Coach Victor Sanchez, after he apparently „did an Alan Hardy“, shall we say:

The Coach himself claims he was being blackmailed. I’m fairly sure that we’ve not heard the last of this story.

    I always liked him.

What a wonderfully cultured playmaker he was.

Málaga have now sacked Victor Sanchez, after his Alan Hardy-tribute act:

Quique Setien replaces Valverde as Barcelona manager.

From the book the Frying Pan of Spain. Setien quoted as saying -

After winning away to Real Madrid with Betis, he said: "In these times when people tell you that you have to run, to work, to fight and to compete, I ask my players to think."

Barcelona play away at Ibiza in the Copa Del Rey next Wednesdsy....Oi oi!

    4.5k capacity stadium.

Looking at Wiki, it seems they've won consecutive promotions. Which DJ is bankrolling them?

The 1. Bundesliga returns this weekend, it’s the most thrilling title-race in years with at least four clubs with a realistic chance of the title, and intriguingly, multiple-champions FC Bayern are no longer the clear favourites, with many tipsters, including Kicker, tipping pantomime-villains RB Leipzig to take the famous Meisterschalle.

As well as the upstarts from Leipzig, Borussia Mönchengladbach, who’ve excelled under Marco Rose, and Borussia Dortmund, who will feature Erling Håland up front, as well as the inevitable Bavarians, all have a good chance to take the title.

Even Schalke 04, in fifth place and resurgent under David Wagner, might gatecrash the Party if they can find a reliable goalscorer.

The season could go down as a classic, and undoubtedly there’ll be bags of goals and entertainment.

Haaland with 2 goals on his Dortmund debut. Still time for a hattrick.

A 20 minute hat-trick, off the bench, on your debut.

EBH may be the real deal.

The director of football (or similar) gave an interview earlier saying something along the lines of "let's not expect too much of the lad."

Radio 5 reporting its not a proper 'German hattrick'.

And he cost them the same amount we sold Burke and Brereton for.

    Michael Zorc.

Former BVB midfield general and current Sporting Director.

I‘m not one to get carried away, but, the lad is brought off the bench on 56 minutes with his side losing, and then - frankly - runs amok, scoring within three minutes of coming on, before wrapping up a 20-Minute hat trick.

I was, I have to say, impressed.
