Wonderful 60 minutes from Juve followed by a shocking 30. Chiellini will be a huge miss this season

I am liking this table, at the moment:

And Der Dinos of Hamburger SV have a massive test on Monday night, the local derby away to St. Pauli! (I think that might be on BT Sport in the U.K. - check it out, if you have a chance!)

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

3 out of 3 for Inter. Not the greatest performance tonight, but it is the sort of game last season we would have drew.

Also, Inter have released their third shirt which pays homage o Pirelli as their long time sponsor. Saw it in Sports Direct Friday and it is even nicer in the flesh.

Candreva was an embarrassment for the sending off....and then again later. Rolling around holding his face when he just lost the ball.

It might be a nod to the Irish for the War.

Germany's 2nd kit has often been green in colour in a thanks to the Irish remaining neutral during the War.

Very smart kit for Furth this season. Can't post a pic but it's in the New Kit thread.

Only problem I have with that site is any sponsors wash off completely after 2 washes so I have to avoid shirts with sponsors.

Am I washing them wrong or do they do this for everybody?

    This isn’t true - it’s a common misconception though.

The Green colour is chosen as it is the colour of the Deutscher Fußball Bund (the German FA), and Green represents the „Green land“ of Germany (and it is very, very Green).

Germany’s „home“ kit of Black and White is representative of the colours of the former Prussian empire.

The misconception about the Green shirt comes from the story that Ireland were the first Country to play Germany after WWII (they weren’t, they were the second; Switzerland were the first, in 1950).

Sometimes the colour has changed from green; under Jürgen Klinsmann, Germany played in Red Away Shirts, but Green - which has always been a popular choice - is now the second colour again. Much like England’s popular Red Away kit, you see a lot of the Green German Shirts about.

Germany actually wore green shirts during their worst-ever International defeat, a 9-0 loss to England amateurs in 1909 in a match played in Oxford.

I haven't bought one yet but I imagine a warm wash would do that?

Turn them inside out when you wash them and put them on a warm wash.

I know not everyone has access to it, but my mum works in a factory and they have a machine that sticks transfers on to material (like when you get a football shirt printed) and she goes over everything with that for me. So maybe try ironing over them with a sheet or something in between to warm the glue up and to stick them down better?

They're getting back into it now. St Pauli have been doing a great job of keeping the better team at arms length.

They’ve stopped Hamburg from playing their game. „Der Dinos“ are at their best when they can build through midfield, but St. Pauli have pressed them brilliantly so far.
