    Reid > Commons
Commons wouldn't get near our starting XI with a fit Reid. It's a shame for Commons really, he could probably have been a regular starter for a lower Prem side in his prime but wasted his talent taking a few quick bucks.

He's gonna sign a new contract at Celtic until he retires, then take up a coaching role with them.

    Hmm, not as catchy.

Have to say his reaction was less about celebrating a good goal and more about pissing the Forest fans off. That is more than enough reason for him never to wear a Forest shirt again.

Anyone that could go directly from Forest to Derby obviously doesn't have the passion for this club and never would. Patrick Bamford was different, but Commons is just a judas.
As someone has already stated, his records with both us and Derby was not great and spent most of the time in the 3rd division, which is the standard of the SPL, which is where he belongs.

We need to get over this crap. Nothing should stop us signing anyone. The only question is whether the player in question is good enough for us. Commons (I strongly suggest) is still, despite his show-boating etc when at other clubs, a Forest fan. But so what if he isn't? Could he do a job? I'll leave that to the people who hold the purse strings, not to the somewhat precious people on here.

There's something so sweet about people being shocked that a footballer is mercenary. It's like being shocked that a porn star has sex with men she does not love.

I won't be missing the opportunity if the fat Judas bastard comes to The City Ground with them.

Just spent upwards of 47 seconds thinking about this and it seems to me they are forever picking up our off casts but we never seem to grab a bargain from them. Who was the last player we signed directly from the molesters of mutton?

    Archie Gemmill?

Not a bad signing! Shame they don't seem to produce any more of his ilk we could steal.

Earnie was the most recent I think.

    Oh yeah, of course.

Colin Todd came from Birmingham so Gemmill could be the second to last although I'd doubt it probably.

He's got to be the best signing by one of the clubs in question from the other I'd think. Although he went off to Birmingham after a couple of years (considering that's where Francis came from too, and Burns I think, there was quite a bit of business between Forest and Birminghm in those years!).

Derby (with Brian Clough as manager) tried to buy Storey-Moore but Man Utd stole him from under their noses apparently. But I don't think he did much in Manchester compared to at Forest.

Oh hang on, John Robertson came back in the mid 80's of course!

The best player transferred by one of the clubs to the other (both ways) but without much success or playing like he did in his first Forest spell. I suppose his transfer just resulted in Clough and Taylor falling out mainly.

IS-M did sign for Derby, after which they paraded him on the BBG pitch. Thankfully though, Ken Smales (who, being the club secretary for the selling club was obliged to) refused to sign the same form, doubtlessly anticipating the probable backlash. Man Utd then stepped in.

It goes without saying that Cloughie wasn't best pleased.
