They've done a good deal on early bird prices as well, so there is a big buzz about the place.

    Quite a few teams in that league now with large away followings (for that level) which will also bump the crowds up;

    Chesterfield
    Lincoln City
    Luton
    Port Vale
    Coventry
    Notts County
    Grimsby

Are all big games for the Stags.

It promises to be their best season in over 20 years.

I'm hoping that when the fixtures list comes out that not too many of these games clash with Forest matches.

Obviously, I'll be attending them with the Chessie lads, but it really could be an epic season for lower division away days.

    I thought the same mate.

Always enjoyed the games v Lincoln and Chesterfield years ago, so those two I'd really like to get to. If I can get to the others it's a bonus.
I think we'll be busy here though, got a feeling it's going to be one of our better seasons in recent times. Some good away days as well.

Aye, last season was shit with Forests problems and Chessies relegation, however there are some really decent games in the basement league next season with a high number of games nearby that will only be an hour away on the train.

Chessie have a load of "fans" finishing banning orders throughout the next year, plod must be shitting themselves

He's a bit like Billy, immensely drilled, improves average players and don't take shit but is a bit mental.

I thought things had been quiet over there, isn't Bungle serving a life sentence? Last I heard.

Same at Stags, two well known names are actually working for the club now, running the youth teams

They've got more than their fair share anyway, they took around 100 up to Grimsby and run them ragged.

I didn't know Bungle had got life but so many that got banned after Cardiff 15 years ago, came back, rampaged around the country for a season to be banned again, came back again, had another go at smashing everywhere up and got banned again.

There's about 60 who have multiple bans to their names already, coming to the end of their bans, throughout the course of the next season.

    Bigger, older, possibly wiser.

Then again this is Chessie we're talking about

I think it was non football related with Bungle.

Most grow out of it Swaggers, too much to lose now, kids, missus, mortgages, nice car, job with good salary. The temptation will never leave them but it would take the perfect storm for them all to get involved again.
The odd one or two will be back, or make the odd appearance. We've seen it happen at Forest.

I'm whoreing myself out to Blackpool for the day on Sunday. My Dad was a 'Pool supporter all his life and I went to their play off finals in '91 & '92 with him. So I'm going to this one as his surrogate so to speak and taking my Daughters. First time at Wembley for the younger one.

Are some fans going to boycott this or is that just games at Bloomfield?

Yes, looking on their forum, a lot are boycotting it. Think they've only sold around 6,000 up to now. Probably something to do with the club receiving 25% of the gate receipts.

    Damn shame.

I hope they get their club back, soon.

Think this Sunday could be make or break. Lose this and I fear that they will be at the other end of the table next season.

Far cry from the 'Matthews' Final, an early Cup Final memory. It was around that golden time; after the dull dreary post war years, we had a new Queen, Hilary climbs Everest, Gordon Richards finally rides a Derby winner and Stanley Matthews wins a Cup Final medal.
