My old team King's Lynn are in that league. Takes me back to my days at the Walks when we played the likes of Peterborough in the Midland League. Like the lads discussing Mansfield and others above, the football might not be a poncey as the EFL, but there is every bit as much passion and will to win and there is a feeling that we are all in this together.

Well said. In the one video, the players are discussing their regular jobs and one talks about needing a very understanding employer when you get back in the wee hours of the morning after a trip to King's Lynn.

    Stags v Pompey today.

Lose and the playoffs are gone. Looks like a sell out...

I'll be rather sadistically enjoying tucking into watching Hartlepool v already promoted Donny later.

Doncaster could end up league 2 champions results depending but the main draw for me is that unless Hartlepool win then they'll the joining the O's in non league obscurity.

Even then they're relying on Notts County taking at least a point off Newport County for them to be safe.

Always someone worse off than yourselves and thank f#ck we 'aint in their shoes!

Hartlepool fans will be devastated. Staying up for about 3 minutes. I whacked a fiver on Hartlepool at 22/1...

I hope our day isn't as tense as this tomorrow.

Hartlepools fans emotions summed up by Jeff Stelling on TV. Absolute joy to devastating heartbreak in minutes.

Football can be the best and cruelest form of entertainment! It's making me even more nervous for tomorrow watching this.

Congratulations to Forest Green Rovers. Winners of the National League Play Offs. The smallest English settlement to play in the football league.

    Nailsworth is where they're from.

    No. Me neither.

Have they actually got any fans?

FGR averaged 1,815 at home, the 10th highest average in the league.

Their best attendance was their last home game of the season against DAgenham when 3,237 wew there.

Their worst attendance was their second home game of the season against Gateshead, 1143.

(Just realised this was my 5,000th post - one day I'll write something worth reading... maybe)

Not as bad as I thought then and their ground must meet league standards.

Credit were it's due but League Two clubs won't be looking forward to them coming up. Fans are a main source of revenue at that level. Half a dozen clubs like that in the League and some clubs could fold.

Not bad for a village of only 5400 odd people. To put that into perspective, Ruddington has 6000 odd people living there.

    Odd being the operative word.

There's about a thousand refugees who've escaped from Clifton too.

But point in case all seriousness aside; Ruddington Village FC won their league the season before this and they play way down the Pyramid of football.

The achievements of Forest Green shouldn't be mocked, they've done astonishingly well for such a so-called "small" team.

Taking the chant "you're just a small town in Gloucester!" quiet literally.

Yet the district of Stroud under which Nailsworth stands has a population of over 110,000 put it in the top 100 boroughs in the country.

Although it's a rural area in the Cotswolds there are plenty of villages scattered around the area and one hell of a lot of money.

It does look like an boom or bust squad, can't imagine all these extras will be cheap, they've not let that many go either and more to come.
