Peterborough‘s Chairman might be an absolute gobshite, but you have to applaud this lovely gesture from the Club, towards employees of Thomas Cook (there are apparently 1.000 or so in the town), as they offer free tickets this weekend for the now ex-Thomas Cook staff:

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

Phil Parkinson appointed new Sunderland manager. I rate him. They've a great chance of promotion now.

Their fans aren't too happy, I don't really know what kind of manager they expect to attract as a League One club though. Parkinson is a good manager at that level.

Looks like Ipswich won't be bouncing back at the first attempt. Coventry 5 points clear at the top. Would like to see Coventry back in the Championship. They've had a tough number of years.

Lambert's career has gone totally off the rails since successive promotions with Norwich.

Set to be voted to end the league season today. Just waiting on the official announcement.

    Promoted

    Coventry - Champions
    Rotherham - Runners Up

    Play-offs

    Wycombe (3rd) v Fleetwood (6th)
    Oxford (4th) v Portsmouth (5th)

Sunderland and Ipswich still down in the basement.

    Relegated

    Tranmere, Southend, Bolton Wanderers

The problem with that plan is that it will surely take teams games to get up to speed as best they can.

They haven't played for three months. Only just returned to contact training, and they're going straight into a behind-closed-doors play off semi-final, with all it's weirdness. The biggest game of their season.

When there was talk of Forest's next game being a play-off semi against Brentford, I thought maybe they'll win but either way that is going to be a bit of a farce.

Nothing against Chelsea spending the money if they have it. But perhaps there should be some sort of "solidarity tax" slapped on transfer fees to help finance the lower leagues?

Got to wonder, given that they've scrapped the rest of the regular season, why those play off semis still need to be two legs? Just play one game at a neutral venue like the final.

Same for both sides though I suppose.

True. But it's going to be a contest to see who is least off the pace.

Not reasonable to expect any teams in the leagues completing their seasons to hit 100%. But at least when the Championship play-offs come around, the standard will be as good as it's likely to gets.

I’m not happy with the 3rd division outcome but at least it’s pissed off Darragh Mcanthony

Might be worth a punt on their striker who’s been scoring all the goals, can’t remember his name

Well Wycombe apparently voted against finishing the season so surely Fleetwood get a bye.

    It’s a bit farcical.

There are Cov fans on my Facebook gloating, what an embarrassment celebrating something you’ve not won properly.

You’ve got to feel sorry for relegated teams. Being sent down by 0.04 of a point, bit of a joke that when there’s 30 points left to play for.
