    One of those planned coincidences.

Mind you there are likely to be a few jobs up for grabs now the season has finished.

They all have their own agendas, a sack or walking means sweet FA, football's awash with millions of spondoolies for the next scarf wearing (insert club here) manager/coach.

    Lucky bastards.

Swansea will struggle next season IMO. Losing Potter is a huge blow, and they are likely to lose their better players too.

Hogwarts away will be tricky. They'll need to find a moment of magic if they're going to win.

If invested properly, the £25m they're reportedly getting for Daniel James will go a long way, not to mention their parachute payments.

The other sellable players are already out on loan so won't really be missed.

I think they'll be more than alright if they strengthen their weak areas to make up for the loss of James' impact.

He will be hard to replace because his style was so specific to the players they had, on paper they have a very average squad.

They won't be investing that money back into the squad. Daniel James won't be the only one they will sell either, the likes of McBurnie and Grimes will be on their way too leaving them with a pretty mediocre squad. Not many managers are going to want to take on that job.

James and McBurnie will fetch big money. The likes of the Ayews and Carroll have resale value and have been away all season so won't be missed. If Potter goes they'll be awarded compensation. They go into next season with parachute payments.

How much of that money they reinvest is debatable but they won't leave themselves with a squad which can't hold its own in the second tier. They're certainly not going to struggle.

Brighton have got a gem in Graham Potter.

Hugely impressed with him & what his Swansea side bought to our game at the City Ground.

Progressive manager. Good luck to him.

Swansea fans seem to think otherwise from what I have read. They are expecting a fire sale of their best assets and little to no re-investment in the squad, and many of them seem to believe that's the reason why Potter has gone. They aren't the well run club they once were prior to the Americans taking them over.

That match was daylight robbery. They just lacked a clinical finisher. Said at the time if they had Grabban in their team they’d have won by 4 or 5. I fully expected them to sign a striker in the summer and challenge next season but who knows what will happen now.

It will be interesting to see how he gets on at Brighton. One of the young new breed.

But they had that Ollie McBurnie... 25 goals in the season?
And he is expected to move to Brighton in the near future.
The reason they lost is also the reason why Potter may not do so well at Brighton - they were pretty but didn't know how and when to be direct.
Potter strikes me as a bit of a Wharburton - easy on the eye, but less so in the winning.
I'll probably be proved wrong, and Brighton will break into the top 6 in the Prem with Potter hailed as the new Guardiola.

As well as 69% possession they had 6 shots on target to our 3. Not much wrong other than sticking the ball in the back of the net, although I do agree that they were guilty of over playing at times.

They finished only a point below us and drastically reduced their wage bill in the process. I reckon his style of football will be better suited to the EPL.

Not so sure, the style was good but it seriously lacked a backbone. The game at our place summed them up, a style of play that's far superior to others but did the basics poorly and lost the game.

They had a few great chances. McBurnie missed a couple of sitters for example. For them it was just one of those days where it wouldn’t go in for them. We’ve had days like that too.

Sure, I didn't say they were the finished article.

How was El Ghazi this season at Vila? He was supposedly proposed to us by Mendes.
