If my memory serves me right, didn't he come off the bench to head the winner at the CG a couple of seasons back?

Very decent on the ball for a big unit.

Gave us all sorts of problems at our place couple of seasons back.

I think he's shit. Crap heading accuracy, good at winning the ball in the air but without Forestieri around him he's useless. I think I've seen him miss more headers than we've scored.

I walk around like everything is fine but deep down, in my shoe, my sock is sliding off.

By "relegation battle", do you mean 7th, 12th or 14th?

I know these are one offs, but nevertheless, the standard is there.
The gap in quality has definitely lessened. I think a lot of it is down to desire too.

It used to be the case where it would be a shock to see the 'Top 4' get beaten by a team in the lower half of the Premier League.

These days teams promoted from the Championship can easily go up to any of these clubs and get a result.

Only the Bundesliga & Premier League has higher crowds, impressive stuff.

    It is, isn’t it?

Especially with the “sit daahn or I’ll throw you aahht!” culture in U.K. stadia.

If you take out the "foreign day trippers" and "not really a fan" numbers from the Prem we might "come second to the Germans". Now where have I heard that statement before?

Yeah, I didn’t mention that, but for the top division, the prices are significantly cheaper than the U.K.

It costs me around €45 (£39) for a very decent seat at the Mercedes-Benz Arena to watch VfB, you can do it cheaper of course if you want to sit (or stand, as there is a standing section) behind each goal, with prices from around €22-25.

A Bier (Krombacher, a decent regional pilsner) is €4.20 (£3.70) for a half-Liter, and I can of course take my Bier to my seat and enjoy it whilst watching the game.

The atmosphere is very lively (as it should be, with upward of 52,000 in there) and stewarding is very “light”.

Horrible logo. Too gimmicky and could be used for any team if you just change the team name.

If they really wanted to celebrate their identity they'd have a picture of one of their players scything someone down with two feet

Funny that on a club crest they have a picture of a player covering up the club crest on his shirt.

Almost as if the crest itself knows it's shit.

I will guarantee it was made by a 25 y/o graphic designer that clearly hasn't understood the project. I work close to that field and that's something you make for an MLS club; not a historic English football club.

The thing about football logos is they should be built to last; that logo will be outdated in 10 years because it's build with techniques that are popular today and then you end up changing it every five minutes.

Compare it to Man City's or Brentford's redesign, they modernized the logo and entrenched it in history and still made it look like a football logo.
