    Default Lloyd Dyer

See Dyer is set to leave Leicester, would be great to snap up on a free. Him on one wing, Paterson on the other.

Not sure about bringing in a player that relies heavily on pace when he will be 32 at the start of the season. I imagine leicester want to give him a 1 year contract and he probably wants a 3 year. That is probably why he cannot agree terms.

He's got pace. We've got no pace. He's got experience and I think is pretty good at champ level. For a free he would be pretty good.

He can barely kick it in a straight line and he's 31 or thereabouts so his only valuable asset will drop off faster then he can reach the by line and shank it into row z.

Even in the thread on the Leicester board the amount of "(apart from his end product)" caveats should be warning enough.

Awful footballer technically. If we want pace and nothing else then maybe he's our guy

Don't think he's that bad technically, he's been a mainstay in Leicester promotion side this year, and scored a great goal to win them the league, and must have had loads of assists this year too and last, not to mention terrorising fullbacks. You won't find many better wingers around at this level, especially for free. Yes he's 31 now but might still be worth a 2 year deal.

He is a frustrating player. One week he is magnificent, another he is dog poo. If he knows whats good for him he will stay away from here. Guaranteed to be a scapegoat and our fans will have no patience for him. Its a shame because on his day theres very few wingers in this league who are better.

Before this season, he lacked any end product whatsoever, turned it on a bit this year but can't see him doing it again. Still, be a decentish free for someone like Sheffield Wednesday.

He'd be worth a 1yr deal for sure, but I suspect that's why he's leaving Leicester. He'll find himself a longer contract somewhere.

Apparently that's exactly why he's leaving Leicester.

He's one of those players that I always feel we struggle against, a bit like Will Buckley.
Depends really on Pearces vision for the club but it seems he'll go for younger players.

    This

As a freebie squad addition and extra dimension to bring on from the bench he's ideal.

10 goals from around 30 games last season if I remember right too.

Would be a cracking addition to the squad.

We need two more wingers and we probably couldn't get anyone better for free.

One year deal with a one year extension if we win promotion? That's presuming he wants a deal longer than one year...

I think Dyer would be a great signing, even if he wasn't starting every game his pace coming off the bench would be an asset. He has always looked dangerous against us, if we could get him on a free then sign him up!

Can see Pearce wanting one or two old heads to go with his stated policy of developing players, but can't see this one.
