    Smile Commons

Can't believe fat boy commons has won the scottish pfa player of year award, just shows how poor the scottish league is, was the award sponsored by pukka pies or mars bars this year does anyone know?

Maybe his 26 goals in 35 starts might be a contributing factor.

    Let's not be silly.

We all know he's a good player, although rose tinted spectacles might not allow some of us to acknowledge it publically.

Pub Football...! Celtic would struggle to hold their own in the Championship, let alone the Premiership.

28 so far I believe. We could buy a lot worse next season.

    Get him bought.

I would expect them to finish above 11th. Nice glass house you have by the way......

Maybe, maybe not....I just thought that Commons was destined for bigger and better things. He certainly had the talent when at Forest.

Scottish titles, International caps and he's played at the Camp Nou and AC Milan. You've got to admit that's a bit of an advance on Portman Road away.

We could buy a lot worse and probably will.

I'm not sure he did. He was a very good player, but he never looked like he would be a star in the Premier League or anything. Which is why he ended up at Derby, and they struggled with him, and then he went to Celtic and has been successful mostly during a time when they have not had any rivals.

Good player, but I never really thought he showed that much talent? Just a very good Championship level player - like Chris Burke for example

I liked Commons, but for some reason the only thing I can vividly remember seeing him do on the pitch is fall on his arse when he was taking a crucial penalty against Leeds. Did that even happen? Stupid failing memory.

All I remember of him is him running with his head down and shooting from ridiculous distances when players are better placed.

You can slag him all you like because he went to Derby when and how he did.
If we still had him, we would be a Premier League club.

He's got a fair number of goals because he gets a vast number of shots at goal in that league. Remember all those shots that went into row z here? Well, they still do, but they let him try more often up there.

It's the Scottish league, it means nothing. That's like Simon Cox joining an under 11's league, scoring 100 goals and then people saying he's destined for a big move to Real Madrid.

A bold statement. He was never as good as Reid and still isn't.
