Default Halford & Jara - Do the honourable thing

Halford - How on earth is this person a professional footballer.

Not only does he lack any quality, his body language and commitment to the cause is truly awful.

And don't give me 'he can play in positions so he's worth keeping' argument. Jack of no trades, master in none.

Do the right thing and put in a transfer request and fuk off and play for Barnet. More your level.

Jara - your total lack of commitment is truly shocking. I really hope you set the world alight with you impending visit to brazil.

How can a player misplace so many easy passes? Yet brazil doesn't seem to notice this? Greening has been a better player this year. Yes greening.

Time for osbourne and Blake to play more regularly

In short please go halford and jara

Jara needs a break from Forest. He has been thrown in with the lions trying to forge a midfield partnership with Moussi, Greening, Peltier, Raddy etc and has failed badly. But he is a decent right back when he's fresh, on his game, with good players around him.

Halford can be a decent reserve centre half, or at a push, a striker. But 6'4 players shouldn't play in wide areas. Too cumbersome, too slow off the mark.

Halford's still a good player to have on the bench for me. A great emergency option which covers lots of positions.

Great option of the bench for the opposition as he can't defend for shit.

Halford - hasnt been right since Barnsley. Dropped shoulders, half arsed, disinterested, unmotivated, billy big bollocks stinking attitude and generally awful performances no matter where hes played. Great player on the bench? Give over. Truly awful in quality and personality and Id be happy if he never plays for us. How anyone can see some sort of awesome versatile utility player is beyond me. Todays performance just consisted of a few nonchalant hoofs to noone in particular, looking generally disinterested, and getting destroyed by a very one dimensional winger running at him.

Jara - any professional footballer who we think is 'saving themself' for a future world cup tournament simply shouldnt be picked. Simple as that. No commitment = no play as far as I'm concerned. Has also shown pretty stinking attitude, but we all know that he does at least have a brain in his head, and can put in some decent performances. Running the show from a defensive midfield position in a side in our form? No no and no.

I think Halford probably had the hardest job on the pitch, trying to keep Hoilett out of the game. He got zero help from Mackie down that right side as well. He had quite a bad game but he's not a terrible player.

Jara, I do question his ability on a weekly basis. He had a better game today than in recent memory but he didn't cover the defence enough for my liking. He's looking for a new club after the World Cup. He's done at Forest. Showed occasion signs of quality in patches but Lichaj is the #1 RB and when Greening puts in an equal/better shift you know the game is up.

Jara is a good right back. He is not a good midfielder. Mental he has been played there so much this season.

He's been played there so much because most of our other midfielders have been crocked.

    Needs must, sometimes.

Covers lots of positions poorly. Really don't buy into this versatility business. Good players can play anywhere anyway.

He is so laboured in everything he does. He's not as talented as a lot of others, but worst of all, he doesn't seem to give his all to make up for it.

Poor player and one I will be very happy to see leave when he does.

I don't say that about many Forest players.

Jara was decent today. Pity every time he took the ball forward there was no real movement ahead of him. Been the story for Majewski too when he's been in a similar position. Jara tried too hard today, tried to force it. Don't blame him, must be frustrating.

When it did go forward it never stayed up top. Cox is a sloth and Derbyshire as weak as a kitten.

Plays in the middle for Chile alot of the time, its some urban myth that he can't player there. Jara is clearly playing as to not get injured before the world cup. He wants to get there, have a half decent torno and be picked up by some lower end spainish side.

Halfords attitude stinks and it has done for weeks now. His 'defending' has cost us so many goals its unreal. Yes he is versatile but is a massive liability.

Once this season has done i wouldn't shed a tear to see either of them on their merry way.

Do the honourable thing? Good lord.

I think Halford's biggest problem is he just doesn't seem to care about Forest. He only seems to show interest when he's playing against Sheffield Wednesday or Sheffield United. His heart is still at Portsmouth or Bramall Lane. He came here because nobody else would have him.

Last season he played well in a variety of positions, but this season I can tell he'd rather be anywhere but here.

Forest can't be a good place to be at the moment.

I meant to add that I completely agree with your point about Osborn and Blake though.

Either way, Jara will get an offer when he plays in the World Cup and Halford will stay as a squad player next season.

I highly doubt Pearce will be offering Jara an extension based upon what he's seen

I would actually play Halford up front at the moment

    Darlow
    Peltier Lascelles Wilson Harding

    Lansbury Vaughan
    Pato Cox Mackie

    Halford

I don't say that about many Forest players.
So Jack Hobbs would be a good left winger? Jamie Paterson would be a good centre back? Andy Reid would be a good right back? That clearly isn't true. Good players can't play anywhere. Most can only play a very small number of positions at a high level, in fact.

I accept Halford hasn't been particularly good lately (clearly no one has) but I do think he's a useful squad player for a Championship team. Until recently, he looked a very decent 2nd stringer at 2 or 3 different positions, and I doubt he's one of our higher earners.

Jara on the other hand can do one. He's out of contract this summer and definitely should not be re-signed, unless he's prepared to accept 500 quid a week to be a 3rd string RB and backup waterboy. Given that he's inexplicably an 'international footballer with Premier League experience' I suspect he won't be prepared to accept such a wage package. In which case I look forward to seeing him at City Ground in a different shirt next season. At his best, Paterson would rip him a new one.
