    Default Player of the year.?

Tough to decide with all the injuries, but my top three are:-
1..Mackie,The man never gives up trying, fearless, and commited to the cause.
2..Reid,Sublime touch and good eye for the half chance.would have been my no1 if he hadn't joined in with the anti Algerian campaign.
3.Lansbury.Again fantastic commitment, whilst those around him dropped their heads, who knows how much better he would have been if not for injuries.
The rest are triers at best, with little cameos of brilliance, but too many going awol.
Just my opinion am sure all have their favoutites.

Hobbs, Reid or Lansbury. By a distance.

Or Paterson, to be fair. Has been excellent in recent months.

    Paterson not considered?

I think it's between Mackie, Paterson, Hobbs, Lansbury and Reid.

Lansbury and Reid are probably the two that stand out the most. For their consistent performances and goals. They carried us for most of the season.

Yeah he slipped my mind as he wasn't around too much when the team as a whole were doing well. He has been very good since January though.

If stayed fit, Hobbs & Cohen would be up there. People forget how good Cohen was at the start of the season, was leading to team from left back.

This. Pato deserves a look in, but with those three available we looked a top 6 side who could push top 2. To lose all 3 has been massive for us.

    Mackie? Not even close.

Hobbs, Reid, Paterson and Lansbury are the standout four players by a distance. It'll be Reid.

I'm not suggesting he's the POTY, but Jamaal Lascelles has come on enourmously after being thrown in at the deep end, and often in difficult circumstances with the 1st-choice back-four missing for most of the season, resulting in a succession of centre-back partners for him.

It's in times of adversity when you see what players are really made of, and Lascelles (along with Paterson, obviously) has been a major plus for us in that respect.

I'm pleased that Fawaz managed to commit him to a long-term deal.

    Andy Reid for me.

    Best midfielder in the Championship.

Reid, easily. Followed by Paterson, then a toss up between Lansbury and Hobbs for 3rd.

Andy Reid. There hasn't been a game he's played in where he hasn't put in 110%, motivated the "team" (which must be a herculean task seeing how useless they are without him), and showed plenty of moments of true class.

Yep Reid, no questions asked. Mackie nowhere near for me... All the effort in the world but can think of times where he could've changed and didn't.

Lascelles and Paterson have been huge positives from this season.

Probably because he's not been outstanding in the way others such as Reid, Lansbury and Hobbs have been at times.

His first full campaign has been a massive learning curve for him though, and one which will hopefully benefit him and the club more than if he'd breezed though it with a regular, first-choice back-four in front of him all season.

Cox. To appreciate the best, you need to first know the worst.
