Fantastic to see Psycho back at the club however let's not write this season off.

2 points off the play offs and Brazil has steadied the ship after the antics of Billy the Pirate.

Let's enjoy the rest of the season, back the team and Gary regardless and hopefully the play offs will be an enjoyable bonus this season.

Players know Psycho is watching, time to turn it up.

Absolutely agree everybody should be backing Gary Brazil.

I agree, the world cup in Brazil will be great. Plus the movie Brazil was also good.

    Two questions....

    1) Has he shown that he's got what it takes to take us up?

    2) Would it be wiser Pearce having his own staff manage and assess the squad fir the end of the season to set us up better for next year?

If we lose Sat why bother continuing with him?

The man has the chance to become an absolute LEGEND in 7 games. Imagine what it would do for him! It would be very Forest for us to go up with an unfancied manager when we've pretty much written the season off, after all the nonsense we've tried previously.

    Billy's gone mate.

There's a gap until Stuart takes over.

Gary will do the best he can. It might not be good enough. That's all we have.

    Be pragmatic.

    Oh Gary, Gary
    Gary, Gary, Gary, Gary
    Gary Brazil

Seriously, im just thinking of what may happen if we do pap next few games. If Fawaz plans ahead for once then we can get a leg up on next season should things go tits up.

No reason we can't plan ahead for the best & worse case scenarios though.

Something we really ought to start doing.

    ITS JUST LIKE WATCHING BRAZIL

To be singing that, 3-0 up in the second leg at Pride Park. Marvellous.

Let's get this straight before we all start moaning if we lose a game.

Pearce isn't coming before July 1st, this is a fact. Brazil has the 1st team till the end of the season and nothing is changing it.

Getting on the team and his back is pointless.

If we get in the play offs (which we have a good chance of doing) then great, enjoy it.

If we miss out. Lose the odd game then so be it.

    It is what it is

I think this little haitus might work in our favour

    - it's a no pressure situation, no one will get sacked if he loses every game
    - the players have the remaining games to get into the new manager's head and should be playing to impress
    - we're in good position if the momentum catches us
    - we've got good players coming back
    - magic is in the air

As much as most on here would prefer that Pearce would start with us this week so we could have him for the 7 game run in, it unfortunately cannot happen. We have to back Gary Brazil regardless now, if he manages to pull off a play off spot with some of the much needed players coming back than fantastic. If not then we will never know what could have been.

We have to look forward now even if some do have reservations about what that might entail.

Getting boring now, but I fear it's only just started. Now is the time to get behind whoever is at the club, forget your agendas.

    This.

    And The Spirit of 1898.

It goes without saying that I shall be backing the manager of Nottingham Forest, but having the extra stability/certainty of Pearce arriving in the summer should really help with this final push until May.

It only takes a second to score a goal.

To be fair there have been more than enough 'agendas' over the last month or two that would confuse the PA of a top FTSE 100 company!

You can't have read what I actually said, because it has nothing to do with that.

I was gobsmacked that you couldn't see the reason behind my questions until I saw who the poster was.

And piss funny that the first time I ask a question is boring, yet you've banged the same "We should be top 3 with this side" drum for months.

Firstly, thanks for grasping the actual point I was making

They're all good points, but why can't that still be the case with some of Pearce's staff more involved?

Couldn't Pearce have his staff involved more though? A lot depends on results - if Brazil wins the next game then by all means lets stick with him.

But is it worth sticking with a temp manager who loses to Millwall & Charlton at home instead of preparing best for next season?

    What kind of changes?

Pearce isn't coming until July. He can't. He won't.

Have Pearce's number 2 in charge instead of Brazil? Have Pearce's staff involved earlier to assess the players he knows little about? Have Pearce's number 2 assess the staff which are currently there to see who may be worth keeping?

If we continue to slide under Brazil, it would just seem like an opportunity wasted if we just "stick it out". You only have to look at some of the excellent signings made last summer to see how much a few games in charge can help you determine what's needed for the squad.

    .
I'm sure the latter will happen. Maybe not his number 2, but someone whose opinion he trusts. This is why the players will know they have to give 100% between now and May.

Does Pearce have a number 2? He might have one lined up who also can't start until July.

Pearce has already said he'll have someone watch games for him.

    Nothing more can be done.

    Relax.

Pearce isn't coming until July, but he said himself that he'll 'have eyes watching all of the games' and will use the time between now and July the 1st to put together a backroom team and, i assume, identify possible transfer targets.

It would be frigging awesome to have him in right now, but the fact of the matter is that Psycho has other commitments. Could he have worked these around his job? Possibly, but there's sod all we can do about it now. Gary Brazil might be able to take this team up, but after the way we've derailed in recent weeks I doubt it. I'd rather Psycho start in the off season rather than the arse end of one.
