Default Reid and Brazil till end of the season?

Reid is a excellent captain, Brazil has some managerial experience but looks limited in motivating the first team.

Zola wants job in summer so why don't we move Reid into a player coach role and get him to kick the pre madonnas up the arse and get the shambles organised and back on track

    Just a thought

Greening & Brasil. Reid needs every minute he can on the pitch & no distractions

I said mid-season that Reid would be our next manager after Billy (that was before he fucked everything up). Still think he would make a fantastic manager, even by his post-match interviews, always says the right things and is a clear leader.

He's in that good form though I would rather him just carry on playing and concentrate on that until he begins to fade away a little.

Chris Cohen for manager! He's not doing anything for the rest of the season.

Reid and Greening could work well temporarily.

People seem to be looking at Reid as an enthusiastic footballer and automatically assuming that he'll be a good manager. Is there anything else that's driven people to this destination?

Reid needs to focus on getting his fitness back up.

    Yeah, isn't Reid injured?

He's a proper captain and leader. When he does interviews he sounds a bit like a manager. Think thats it.

Not saying he should pick the side leave that to Brazil, but take a active role in training and build up to games to give the lads direction and get me focused

If we're making an appointment in the summer, I say bring in any big name who fancies being a cheerleader for eight games to stand in the technical area with Brazil. West Ham got Brooking in that time. They won a few games. It didn't work exactly, they went down with a record points tally. Collymore is fine. Even Saunders, whatever. Anybody. Brazil isn't gong to work. not his fault. But we might as well all go to Benidorm.

Whilst we still have a chance at making the top six, we may as well take on a punt on somebody. There is absolutely nothing to lose. Tuesday night suggests Gary Brazil isn't going to lift the players out of the doldrums. He isn't likely to make the top six. He probably has the worst managerial record of all 92 men in charge of clubs at the top four divisions in English football. Players need to go "bloody hell, Patrick Viera is stood in technical area!" Zidane is of Algerian parentage, make it happen Fawaz. Even Barnet attracted Edgar Davids.

Ok, Zidane wasn't a serious suggestion. But just get a figurehead. Somebody from our past probably. Back to Collymore. Why not eh?

I think Charlie McParland should be given the job to see us over the line.

    I'm sick of it

Speaking of Viera, wonder if we could attract him? He's currently boss at City's academy.

To be fair Stan has put himself forward on the radio a few times in last few yr - He properly thinks he would be good at it. If he could lure Roy in then Id be up for long term. Short term he could get his boots on again for me at this moment in time.

Definitely not long for Collymore. But try anybody for eight games if we aren't going to get somebody permanent until the summer. We need somebody who can lift a few spirits even if can't do anything else. Keep Brazil with him. There must be a load of people who can fill that role. Nothing to lose.
