@patmurphybbc Thanks for all of this, Pat! Quick Q- any knowledge re Dean Saunders? A great deal of concern that he might be appointed!

Typical, sees a something about Forest and Derby and feels the need to get involved.

Anyway, would you question Dennis Hopper?

Wow, check out this Nostradamus quatrain:

In the lace'd city the northern tyrant's second reign shall end
From the Western valleys the dean will lay claim to the crown
For a month the pretender will toil upon the barren earth
    and Forest will finish 15th

There might be something in this...

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

I've no idea why McGovern is deemed to be the man to consult to be honest, he's still very much stuck in the past bless him, and hardly has an inspiring managerial record.

Probably because Larry Lloyd was too morbidly obese to fit into the limo that Fawaz sent to fetch him.

Yeah did anyone see him interviewed by John Fashanu's daughter when she was doing that documentary on Justin... dear god he was frighteningly in the past, may as well of said 'we were all a bit wary in the showers when that great big black shirt-lifter came along'. Legend, but by god he is a dinosaur

And only yesterday folk were saying that John McG's job as an Ambassador was purely cosmetic, how perceptions change so fast.

We're just going to have to trust his judgement for now though Alf.

Despite his old-school credentials, hopefully he'll still have enough awareness of what the club requires to counsel Fawaz into making the right decision.

Seems Pat is getting a lot more from Forest, assume it's via McGovern.

He said he had been sat talking with him at derby last week. So easy enough to give him a call this week.

People i'd rather have as managers rather than Saunders:

    Billy
    Sven
    Paul Ince
    Cotterill
    McClaren
    Hoddle
    McCleish
    John Barnes
    Alan Hansen
    Mark Lawrenson
    O'Driscoll
    Barry Fry
    I'm even thinking Megson!!

I'd rather have Finbarr Saunders. He'd have more credibility.

    In Murphy we trust.....

Jess is working on them as we speak, and would still be better than Saunders.

Don't worry, Sly Old Fox, I'm sure that film will be released in Leicester soon...

    So, what was the answer?

I'd rather we appointed Benito Mussolini as manager than Saunders.

At least games would kick off on time and Benito would get the lads fighting fit!

    Tudgay is one. 2004 Derby v Forest 4-2. 2010 Forest v Derby 5-2
    Saunders 1990 Derby v Forest 2-1. 1996 Forest v Derby 1-1.

Hinton maybe? It is a guess that.
