    Default Robert Earnshaw

He's in limbo now, after Toronto signed Defoe. Blackpool are reportedly interested but if we offered him a short term contract until the end of the season, we could get him?
Obviously he's not as fast as he was but he'd still be the best finisher in our team.

3 years older than when he was deemed too old. It's a no from me.

We'd be taking a big step backwards I think. It's the sort of signing I'd expect Notts County to make.

Would still consider it over recalling Miller

I'd have him back. Might re-invigorate Majewski too.

I'd have him on the bench. Would be great if he came on and scored some vital goals.

The way I see it is, if we need a goal with 20 mins to go and I can look at my bench and see one of Matt Derbyshire or Robert Earnshaw. It's Earnshaw every time.

Why have Toronto signed DeFoe? Co's Earnie maybe is past it even in the Canadian League.

Maybe we should have Ambition and signed Defoe!

If we need strikers than recalling Miller and having earnshaw on a short term contract till the end of the season is not a bad idea.

He's ancient and hasn't played a match in half a year. Christ I'd rather play Derbyshire.

    Signed with Blackpool.

Earnshaw would surely score more goals than Cox, he's prolific at this level and he knows some of the players and really does link up well with Majewski - so why haven't we signed him on a short term deal - better than no one, has to be, and better than playing Halford up top.

    What are we doing?

I'm not convinced he's sufficiently different from Djebbour. Always cheer him on in the shirt, though.

I am I've seen Earnshaw score loads of goals and some of them belters - only seen Djebbour score one, and that was coz it his his arse/arm/whatever on the way into the net.

Earnshaw is proven at this level, Djebbour isn't.

    Simples.

In his last season with Forest he scored 1 in 4 over the season. This season Simon Cox has scored every 3.5 games. Earnshaw is now almost three years older and will have lost some of his pace. People remember Earnshaw far too fondly here, he was good but he really dropped off in his last season. Since he left Cardiff he's scored a goal every 3.5 games. In Israel and the USA. There's nothing to suggest he'll be much good any more, especially as he hasn't played a match for half a year. I'm happy to predict he'll do nothing at Blackpool.

Marlon Harewood, David Johnson and a 100 others i could name were good at this level once upon a time. Time catches up with us all and that's what has happened with Earnie. He is one of my favourite Forest players of recent times but to think he would be prolific for us is just laughable really. There's a reason he has joined a club that is in dire form and seemingly destined to be relegated.

All i know is, he has instinct in front of goal, a real poacher. You could say the same about Kevin Phillips, nearly have the legs they once had but they still know where the net is.
