    Default Danny Ings

I am surprised Danny Ings is still with Burnley. I know they said they wouldn't sell BUT if the price was right from a Prem club I am sure he would have gone.

Any thoughts why he didn't get head-hunted during January?

I'm sure the club had enquiries for him but who knows. He really does look a cracking player.

Best striker in the division. Got plenty of pace and can finish. I think he's got more qualities than Rhodes. If Burnley don't go up he will probably go in the summer. As there is such a dearth in English forward talent I could see him getting into the fringes of the 1st team squad after the WC as he already plays for the U21's.

Because he's not good or foreign enough for the big boys and strikers who get snapped up by the lower half Prem teams for big bucks don't get as many goalscoring chances and thus score less goals and probably get moved on like Shane Long, Kevin Doyle, Connor Wickham etc Bamford will probably turn out the same, be surprised if he ever plays for Chelsea regularly.

    Exactly this.

Put Ings up front for Arsenal/Spurs/Everton etc he would score plenty.

Flash in the pan in my opinion. Having a great season but I wouldn't want to spend big money on him personally.

Respect your opinion but I'd have to disagree. He was scoring regularly as a kid down here at Bournemouth before moving to Burnley where he's had his fair share of injuries but now he's fit I think he looks the real deal. Great first touch, great change of pace and a natural finisher. I think he is better than Rhodes, Wickham etc, did you see him agains QPR yesterday? He was a menace through the entire game, I think he will be an England player and end up at an Everton or Villa.

Time will tell I suppose but he certainly has the raw ingredients.

Considering Burnley's promotion chances hinge on him, the valuation they have must be over £10m, at least. He looks a cracking player, but nobody would be willing to pay that (yet). If they don't go up then he'll probably be off to one of the promoted sides.

If (big if) we went up, I would love us to sign him. He would fit in great to our team. Cracking footballer and finisher.

Presume you mean Vokes? Not so keen but they do compliment each other. Reckon Ings would play well with Wickham mind.

    Yeh both

Normally ones better than the other but they do compliment each other well. No bedding in period. Hit the ground running

    All ifs and buts tho

Hope this lad gets in the provisional World Cup 30-man squad at least. Who else is there?

I know they've been linked with Trippier loads but not sure about Ings. I think Ings will end up at Saints now they've got rid of Osvaldo, I'm pretty sure hes a Saints fan!

I would say your opinion is more valid on Ings as you have obviously seen a lot more of him. Sometimes I get a feeling about a player (good or bad) and even though it goes against the stats and majority of opinions it takes a lot to win me round. I actually don't think Ings would play well in our system eithe. A bit like Cox. I believe in Cox and think if he played with a strike partner like Ings does he would score goals.

If Ings is still as prolific next season and the season after I will chuck a tenner in to the LTLF kitty.

I think Cox plays well in our system and Ings would too. I also think they are very different players

Pace, strength and a cracking finisher with both feet. He's definitely worth getting if we go up.
