    Default Chris O'Grady

I'd put this in the unsubstantiated thread, but it seems there's a bit of meat on the bone. I will remove it if there's nothing in the rumour.

    From http://www.barnsley.vitalfootball.co...e.asp?a=344807

Nottingham Forest are reportedly preparing a £1.5 million bid for Barnsley`s leading scorer Chris O`Grady.

If the figure is true then I don`t think Barnsley will turn the offer down. £1.5 million is a lot more than we paid for him and in my opinion a lot more than he is worth.

However whether its £50,000 on offer or £50 million it really is irrelevant as far as Barnsley are concerned.

The money we receive for our players is never put back in to strengthening the team so who cares how much it is.

The only thing that really matters when deciding on whether to let a player go or not is if Danny Wilson wants to keep them or thinks that he can improve the team without them.

Was very impressed with him at the City Ground last season. Reminded me a bit of Junior Agogo.

    No thanks.

Isn't worth £500k, let alone £1.5m. Would be very underwhelmed with this and would not be the striker we need to go for top two.

7 goals in 18, sounds ok, but it's a bit of a downgrade from everyone else we have been linked with, anyone seen anything in d'papers d'papers?

The definition of being damned by faint praise.

Agree that £1.5 is mad money, but for 500k he'd be good value, especially if we're bringing in another forward alongside him. He's a Forest fan, isn't he?

13 in 34 for the worst team in the division isn't to be sniffed at.

Those two sentences seem to say opposite things.

Agogo was decent until he came back from the ACoN thinking he was the new Pele.

He was born here so its a possibility that he did support Forest
