    Arctic Monkeys "AM".

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

AM will take some shifting, it's the best album that's been released by a British band for a while.

Lorde's Pure Heroine and The Strypes' Snapshot are also up there for me - probably a 1-2-3 in that order.

The new Franz Ferdinand for me. The new bonobo was pretty good as well. Daft punk's release was quite disapointing really.

I'm really not keen on that new Monkey's album. I just find it drab

Some big bands have released albums which I'd shout up, but arsehole to that I'm backing the local lads and Ferocious Dog's effort is pretty phenomenal when you consider it's an independent release. If they had the backing, resources & assistance which the likes of the Monkey's had they'd cream the UK. It's like seeing Forest sneak into the Champions league via cup competitions and draw with Barca at home.

Surprised o see Jake Bugg not get a mention yet.

Oh he's certainly not my cup of cha, don't dislike him but again a bit bland and "meh" for me. However thought there'd be a few singing his praises.

Foals used to be so good live... saw them a few times before they got signed and it was insane. As soon as the singer started to try to sing and they went down-tempo I went off em

    Red Jester's weren't bad, like

Obviously I'm a big fan of Ferocious Dog.

    Arctic Monkeys one is enjoyable.

I like 3 Daft Monkeys latest too.

    Daft Punk's wasn't bad neither.

Having listened to it a few times, his second album isn't as strong as the debut.

I really like Shangri-La, but not as good as his debut.

Great guitar player though. Was hesitant to say how good he was before, but I'm just saying it now.

AM was great though. My album of the year. Loved it. Just wish they swapped 'I Want It All' with 'Stop The World...'

Agreed. Anything Phil Collins is tops in my book. The year doesn't matter, that shit is timeless.
