    Was he stocking the shelves?

Found a new job already, good for him.

Poor bugger. Whilst I'm pleased he's no longer manager, I take no pleasure in him being out of a job.

same here, I wanted him to do well, always thought this would be the outcome though.

It's also really sad that he was still wearing his training top.

I'm more surprised the club didn't ask for it back.

The reason there's a delay in announcing Davies is because Forest want him to change his name to Carl Carlson so that they can use Calderwood's old training attire.

I have images of him in 2 or 3 years time standing in his front room wearing it taking imaginary training sessions.

I'd have felt compelled to go shake his hand and thank him for all he's done. (in a none sarcastic way)

Yes, at the end of the day, he was a decent bloke who wanted to do well for the club. He was rubbish, but he did want to do well.

To be honest I think hes bought some quality players, apart from Lee Martin (one game wonder) but he just couldn't seem to get the tactics right. As everyone has said hes a nice bloke and I for one would love to see him still involved with Forest (just not the manager!) He tried to get the team playing beautiful football on the deck which I am very grateful for because I haven't seen Forest play like that for a long time. I will be forever in his debt for taking us out of that awful league.

Feel bit bad for him, especially still wearing the tracksuit top.
Really nice guy, He's got an okay record on paper. His signings were good, but tatics abit dodgey.

He has to get on with his life. Leave him be.

If I bumped into him to speak to I'd thank him for his efforts, for what he tried to do and wish him well for the future.

    Poor bloke.

He said in his post match interview that he didn't think that this was the end. I suppose he was under the impression he had 100% support from the board. Must've hit him hard if he is still wearing his top.

I hope he does go on to get another job. Still Swindon is out the equation now he was a few days late with his sacking to manage to get that job.

They ended up getting that Wilson bloke.

I would thank him for saving our club from the wretches of league one. I will be grateful to him he has saved this club for truley going down the shit pan. Forgetting Leeds and whatever he was asked to get us promoted and he did it. I don't care how.

All this rubbish about it being in spite of him is complete bull and all. So I suppose our current predicament is in spite of him and all then? If promotion is not his doing then neither is the relegation battle we are in. He is responsible for every win this club acheived and every loss this club got. Simply because he choose the team, told them how to play and guided them through it on the touchline.

Calderwood was in a suit and a santa jumper in his post-match interview yesterday so I don't think he has sunk quite low as you possibly suggest

He's always come across as the smartly dressed sort. Aside from the training top, o'course.

    I don't reckon anyone's told him.

They probably posted him his P45 and he hasn't got it.

He'll turn up for the coach on Sunday and find it's gone without him and that his club mobile phone doesn't work anymore.

That might well be true... I caught something on one web page I was reading earlier that this year had seen a record number of changes via Deed Pole Mr Happy Adjustable Spanners and La La was quite different.

But if Colin Comes back with a mustache and named Billy Davies there'll be trouble!

And looking after the pennies to let the pounds look after themselves as played a part in our past before... WHU bought Marlon Harewood so we bought Marlon King... Within a week or so... All the caual club wear with Marlon on stayed. Same height, build... same name above place in changing rooms...

    Ah well...
