    What about Slade?
About time they made a comeback.

    I've just been debating Slade.

Gets the best out of jouneymen and older players. picks up bargains, turned Yeovil into an established L1 side with no money and having his best players constantly sold from under him !

'The cross came in from Majewski, and Blackstock slid in, Gabriel Tamas attached to him in the manner in which a baby chimpanzee clings to its mother' Dexter Blackstock vs West Brom

Slade is a nice bloke, with a lot of passion and local connections, but no thank you.

Any inexperience at this level is not something you want when battling relegation.

Except Curbishley and Keane, of course.

    Neither of which thrill me.

Aye Keane (who owned this league once he got his feet under the desk) but Curbishley hasn't managed in the league for years. Things have changed a lot !

Surely last time Curbishley was in this league it was Division 1 ? Even since we were here last the gulf in quality is very noticeable !

He was until recently a prem manager, so the quality argument is a bit redundant.

It isn't really. So all that's really changed is the name of the league. I think he'd cope with that

The percentage of teams staying up now is easily better than that a few years ago. Curbishley did an amazing job for Charlton, but what's happened since ? . It's not the point my initial comment was based on so don't want to stray but he wouldn't get my vote !

I'm not excited by him at all. But he's streets ahead of the likes of Slade!

Russell Slade is not up to it.

    It has to be Keane.

As I said before Russell Slade is simply maintaining what Gary Johnson acheived.

I personally think Neil Warnock. If we offered Palace a bit of cash and Warnock a budget he couldn't dream of getting at palace then I think we would stand a good chance.

However it's too hard to predict really.
