    Default Black Armbands

What happened to the player wearing them yesterday for Ron Fenton? I'm sure I only saw Hobbs with one on, could be wrong though!

They were slim, discrete ones - no big show of grief made. A bit like the wristbands you have for things, but worn on the upper arm.
    The scousers would never approve.

By "relegation battle", do you mean 7th, 12th or 14th?

Given the length of his service with the club and affinity with the Cloughs, I was a little disappointed that there was no one-minute silence/applause.

They were all wearing them I think, they were pretty discreet though.

Maybe his family didn't want the silence/applause?

There was a video tribute of sorts on the screens I believe (I got in too late to see it). Armbands were a nice touch - a subtle tribute to a man who helped Forest from outside the limelight

Think Nigel Clough was wearing one too.

Yes he was. He worked with Fenton for many years and he was a close friend of his father so I should hope so!!!

looked like a bit of old electrical tape someone bought at the last minute rather than an armband

There was an applause in fairness, when Mark Dennison was talking about it pre-match.

Just about to say that. The tribute was shown on the screen with the voice-over then we all applauded. It was done quite early so some may have missed it.

I don't think the size of the armband matters, just the sentiment behind it.

    We won it for Ron.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“
