The video of the guy on MW2 who messages a camper whilst standing behind him always made me laugh.

Probably not real, but still funny.

Being outnumbered and still killing everyone is great, especially in a battle royale game.

    Or a cheeky sniper kill

Finished Beyond Two Souls last night.

Had some mint fun with it, first few chapters & the build up is absolutely brilliant. But by the end it starts to drag, Navaro in particular one of the most pointless long winded gaming sections ever, and the ending itself is a bit "meh".

But appreciate the recommendation Freddie. The First 3rd was proper captivating stuff.

Finally got the platinum trophy for the Secret of Mana remake, and yeah, it is definitely infinitely more stable now than upon release. Not a single crash throughout the entire game. About time.

I’ve just finished AC Odyssey and same, good to wait until a game is on sale, been out a while and debugged so you have no issues

Blasted through Firewatch which was a cute point and click walking story kind of game ala Life is Strange/Gone Home sort of thing. Very short and wasn’t quite as good as the reviews suggest so wouldn’t recommend it at full price but definitely worth a few hours of your time at sale price.

Got a huge backlog of games and Gears of War 4 is free this month fuck sake

Decided to go for God of War as it was heavily discounted with my Playstation Plus subscription, I am struggling to get into it to be honest. The game play just seems very repetitive... move down corridors, lift gate, throw axe to keep gate lifted, continue into open area and fight 3 or 4 waves of enemies, repeat.

You played the original mate? If so, how's it compare?

I didn't play the original, I played one on the PSP but cannot remember which one it was and this is way more RPG like, with the character development side of it.

It just feels like I am repeating the same thing over and over just with a different designed background. Even the enemies seem like they are just the same models but different colours.

Games have defo become way more copy-paste since I got back into them the past few years. They all seem obsessed with loot too, it's annoying.

The ones I've enjoyed the most since re-geeking have been those made 2005-2013 period. Odd gem after, but found a lot of of the hyped up one's a bit lacking Tbh. Just basic stuff done badly, which to me sticks out like a sore thumb.

You're bang on and I'm guilty of playing a lot of these games Just started Far Cry New Dawn which is just a continuation of Far Cry 5 so obviously expected to be the same but of course being an Ubisoft game it has very similar game mechanics to AssCreed, The Division and Watch Dogs as well.

Hence why I'm buying these in the sales for fuck all.

If you ever played Rainbow Six siege, the best way to kill someone for me is called flicking to the enemy. Meaning my sensitivity on the mouse is high enough where if the enemy is on the other side of the screen, my reaction + mouse sensitivity is greater than the guys reaction of just looking at me.

    Great fucking game siege is.

Sounds like The Outer Worlds is going to New Vegas but in Space They’re keeping it low key but if it’s anywhere near as good as NV it’s a win.

Just playing Mad Max on and off for a bit. Think I'm at the end of my tether, blatant rip off of the Ubisoft method of "add more pointless boring shit to increase gametime".

Not only that, but you get sandstorms that last anywhere from a minute to 3 minutes.

I don't want to go to bed either because I'm in a bad mood.

    Fuck-stickles.

It's a tie between Far Cry 5 and Horizon: Zero Dawn for most Copy Pasted, uninspired game this generation for me.

At least with Assassin's Creed Ubisoft reinvented it with Origins, but with Far Cry they just re release the same game with a different backdrop.

Less said about Horizon the better i hate that bag of wank.

Video games are shit aren't they?

I deleted Mad Max after my rant the other night anyway. Been so busy this year I've barely sank any time into gaming apart from Apex.

Just Cause is worse than Far Cry. Pretty similar games but Far Cry at least has some narrative. Both just a bit of silly, blasty, shooty fun though. Easy to pick up and play for an hour and do a bit where as some games you like to do a longer session.

Wouldn’t pay full whack for any of them though. Ubisoft regularly have sales and massively slash prices.

I was amazed at how bad Horizon was. So much hype for it, and you'd seen & done it all withing the first few hours. And even then it wasn't done particularly well.

The real lazy trend of copy-paste open worlds which folk have lapped up is just bizare.

No longer have the time or patience to put the hours into most modern games so purchased the original Doom off the PlayStation store. Nothing more satisfying that blasting shit away with the shotgun.

The only new game I’ve played recently is the Resident Evil 2 remake which I thought was fantastic. Not as scary as playing the original as a kid but still great. Big fan of the remake for the first one as well.
