Now, why's there no talk of BF5? It's got potential to be the best FPS ever, certainly the great multiplayer anyway.
Amazon have sent me a discount code for BF5!

Sadly it’s only valid in the U.K.

Amazon sent me one for CoD not long back.

Top trolling from the company there. My response was to complain about a product not working so I got it for free. The fuckers.

The reviews I've read are lukewarm, citing lack of content and lots of bugs

Theres a few bugs and compared to BF1 there's less "stuff" right now but there's no paid dlc, so everything's free once it's released. Its like all games, it was rushed through and released to early, once they've ironed them out and started tides of war then it should get even better. At the end if the day FPS's are mostly about gameplay and that is great.

Why anyone would play a bog standard FPS when RDR2 is out boggles my mind.

They should have released it in February.

New pads are always an idea, especially when you throw the last one out of the window yet again when the AI manages to bend in a worldie from the Center-circle whilst your Center Forward contrives to spoon a chance over the bar from two yards out.

I still think the AI in football games is terrible..... im coventry on FIFA 18 and the finishing on it and speed is just so unrealistic and plain woeful, drives me mad.

Because it's very changeable, I know RDR2 has many differing bits but it's still not like going against other people.

I actually prefer PES, because the game-physics are better.

Am I right in thinking that PES doesn't have the licence so has to have fake names?

Its not that its just you get in front of goal and your shot is so weak its laughable.... tbf i dont think any football game developer has really worked out how to demonstrate a less than world class footballer.... its still up there with Des Walker being white on one of the early FIFAs

Yeah, it's like they've took a perfect footballer and nerfed them for realism, when in reality 99% Will put it in so close to goal.

Certain players in league 2 score 25 plus goals a season every year... they dont all play like its the first time they have worn boots.... i just think developers get that aspect so wrong.

Its like you say they create a world class player and make him shit rather than creating a standard player and improving him when needed.

PES has a few real teams - my 2018 Version on PS4 has Barcelona and Dortmund „correct“ for example.

Although there are unofficial patches that give you the correct team names, kits and badges.

The players are (sort of) correct, in that they are „Initial. Lastname“, so for „Notts Red“ (Forest) you would have „M. Dawson“, „D. Fox“ etc.

I haven't bothered with either for a while now. Getting the new FIFA used to be a ritual but not now. My son loves basketball so he gets the 2k series which gameplay wise is really good in my opinion. It's not just FIFA though, EA has made a pigs ear of Madden too.

I used to live for NBA Live 97.

Agree about Madden, not touched it for a few years. Might pick the latest one up whenever it's cheap. I stopped playing FIFA every year in about 2000 The South Africa world cup game was great but when the progressions in game play got so small, it was pointless getting it every year. It's not like they can even change the setting or tweak gameplay like with an Assassin's Creed sort of game. It's still football, you still play it the same way.

Anyone played The Sexy Brutale? Very unique, and a great little game to boot. Nice blend of old-school & new-school. One of the best PS4 games I've played so far.

“All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a Thousand Enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.”
